“Rhubarb_Runner” grew up on a small farm near Beltrami, MN. He graduated from Fertile-Beltrami High School in 1980, then earned a BS in Computer Science from Moorhead State University in 1984.
His first job was writing embedded software for the B-2 “Spirit” Stealth Bomber radar in Los Angeles, where he lived for 5½ years. While there, he married his wife Mo, a Valley Girl as it turns out.
Soon after, they moved to St. Peters, MO, where he worked at Emerson Electric writing embedded software for the MC-130H Combat Talon II radar. During this time, his daughter K was born.
After 1½ years, he was laid off (along with just about everyone else), and began work as a consultant with what eventually became Experis (ManpowerGroup). Except for a short stint at the beginning on a project for Southwestern Bell, he worked 23 years in IT for the Engineering department of the Union Pacific Railroad, after which he hired on as a full time employee for 10 years before retiring. He now resides in St. Charles, MO.
