Anon seems to have some emotional baggage. But as someone who was around toward the start of the “photographers on tumblr” tag, I’d say they’re also just wrong and wronger. The point was to make it easy to find original photos and photographers, period. It wasn’t intended as special club, a seal of “realness,” or any other dumbness along those lines. Tag on, content generating types.
