Reap the Wild Wind (Paramount, 1942), Dan Sayre Groesbeck
Groesbeck had worked as an in-house artist for the Chicago Tribune before he was chosen by DeMille as his go-to concept artist. His ethereal paintings for the epic sea drama helped to communicate the director’s unique vision.
