They navigate the beginning of their life based on their sense of smell, which will be their strongest sense for the rest of their life. So a dog's best sense by far is their nose, but we created dog training based on eyes & ears? I think that working with a dog primarily with eyes & ears is one of the biggest flaws of the dog training world. With every puppy, I am hyper focused on engaging the nose to encourage the puppy to do things.
