I tried to resist Downton Abbey for a long time. I just didn't 'want to get involved with another series. So glad I finally gave in and watched it. Lady Edith’s dress was inspired by a vintage silk train which was embellished with flowers and crystals which would be attached to the shoulders of the dress with embroidered flowers styled to match those on the train.
