So I am planning on putting together an Edwardian adventuress ensemble, the sort of outfit a lady might wear while sketching Egyptian ruins while on a Nile cruise in 1907. Nany is talking about her 1900s blouse, that is based on an example from “La Mode Illustrée” of 25 October 1908. All the sewing techniques used within this blouse are taken from an extant book, which makes this garment very close to an original blouse from that era. Nany only needs to add some closures and decorative buttons. Other than that, this blouse is finished and only waits to be worn.
