Students love to share the responsibility in the classroom. Having "Helping Hands" allows them to show how responsible they are. It was super easy to make. Just printed out some cute pictures for each classroom job, and glued them to mini envelopes. Then bought the little hands at a teacher's store and glued them to popsicle sticks.

My Helping Hands are the students in my class who lend me a helping hand everyday! (Just a fancy way to say "Jobs.") I write their names on little hands and then put them on Popsicle sticks. I switch them every week.

Picture this....North Carolina 2008. I walked into my first classroom and immediately noticed the giant blue waves painted around the top of the walls (read- peeling paint way too high to reach). I decided to go with the inherited ocean theme and haven't looked back since! Also, I have to admit...I have a slight obsession with the color blue.
