Cheerleaders were originally meant to cheer to motivate sports teams, but nowadays, they have people cheering for them in national and international competitions. If you've watched Cheer on Netflix, you probably know cheerleaders today are admired, praised, and let's be honest, envied. But they're not always perfect. This past summer, Danceology owner Nicole (Niki) Lucia led her team of roughly 150 competitive dancers to win the title “Studio of the Year” at one of the country’s largest dance competitions, The Dance Awards. The journey to get there was full of hard work, discipline and, most importantly, according to Lucia, the will to win. Here, Lucia shares some of the teaching tools that have helped her create a winning studio with a winning mindset.
