World Margarita Day! With a Citrus Twist! while im usually a fan of Tommy’s margaritas, i’ve been enjoying the traditional, curacao/ triple sec as sweetener route. This time, we’re adding yuzu curacao and yuzu juice as our citrus element, then adding just a bit of agave and chili liqueur to give a little more depth to the cocktail. This is served on a rock with some japanese seven spice and salt, echoing the usage of tajin in some marg variations.

2 oz tequila blanco @tequilaochomexico
0.75 oz yuzu curacao, or any dry curacao/ triple sec @ferrandcognac
0.75 oz yuzu juice @theyuzuco
1 bar spoon chili liqueur (i used ancho reyes green) @anchoreyes
half barspoon agave nectar

Bourbon, Lemon, Elderflower Liqueur, Egg White, Yuzu honey tea, yuzu juice

This is a straightforward but elevated whiskey sour from Jigger and Pony @jiggerandponysg in Singapore. With yuzu honey tea as the main variation from the traditional whiskey sour, the cocktail is refreshed with a bit of that yuzu tartness and juiciness, further bolstered by a bit of elderflower liqueur and a bar spoon of yuzu juice. From the videos I’ve seen prep can be made ahead of time by mixing and infusing the yuzu honey with the bourbon, which would further extract the yuzu flavor, and prepping the egg whites into a squeeze bottle.

1.5 oz bourbon
.5 oz lemon juice

2 tsp yuzu honey tea

◦ Juice of ½ Blood Orange
◦ Dash of Fresh Lemon Juice (to taste)
◦ Blood Orange Slice, to garnish
◦ Sumac Sugar & Agave, to rim

METHOD: Combine ½ tsp salt, 1 tbsp sugar and 1 tbsp sumac on a plate. Brush a little agave syrup or honey on the side of your glass and pass it through the sumac sugar. Set aside. Add the rest of the ingredients to a cocktail shaker filled with Pear Gin, Pear Syrup, Empress 1908 Gin, Glass Garnish, Orange Liqueur, Pear Cactus, Orange Slice, Prickly Pear Cactus, Agave Syrup
