This fun and fresh manga pays tribute to Gamera, Godzilla, and Ultra Q while still striving to be its own thing, and it does it well. Weaving a mystery narrative surrounding the emergence of kaiju effortlessly into the arc-to-arc struggle against the "kaiju of the week/arc" Gaea-tima offers an interesting and intriguing overarching narrative while also providing some incredibly fun and well-drawn kaiju action. a wonderful MC, and watching her grow from a jaded and self-doubting survivor of tragedy into the confident hero she's become was a real treat. Similarly, the exploration of supporting characters like Tatsukuni and Hibari really fleshes out the cast, adding depth and uniqueness to their characters.
Daikaijuu Gaea-tima is a treat not just for tokusatsu fans, but manga fans in general.
