What a rare gift! This manga about music and bands and bandmates is on the unproblematic and lighthearted side of BL - every aspect is gently discussed and dealt with dialogue-focused approach without much ado about anything. The carefree + artistic nature of this manga screams "youth! & talent!", which is so enviable yet motivating.
Moreover, the side characters do not take any kinds of actions that would stand out but the natural interaction between the bandmates is quite memorable and impressive to me, sometimes comedic even (but that must be partly thanks to the brilliant translation in my native language done by this certain

translation group - which really elevates the whole reading experience).
I love music too so the way the characters connect with one another through the passion for playing and performing music is an easy selling point for me. Plus, I absolutely adore the way Gen is quite defiant at first, not the stubborn, mean-spirited kind but the way you don't want to acknowledge your rival too quickly and how the mutual admiration is not overexaggerated but sufficiently delivered that convinces the readers without us even realizing through the effective use of imagery. And the pacing from the secondguessing to the blooming of requited love is smoothly done like a nice, fitting parallel parking that just scratches the itchy spot head-on. The character trivia is also amusing without trying too hard.
Overall, the whole manga (the mangaka included) is a unanimously cool package in a lowkey, understated way - hope this receives more love!
