Synopsis

Oda Yuuma is an odd young man. He can float off the ground. He can see into the future. He scares the crap out of some of his classmates and teachers. There is a physicist trying to understand how he does what he does, but Oda-kun has his own agenda, and it involves a possible future he has seen of a girl from his school…

Preliminary (15/28 eps)
If you like different types of stories with sci-fi and supernatural settings you should try Kiseki no Shounen. I had it on my plan to read list but didn't know much about it except that it was about an unusual kid who floats. I took a look at it and immediately recognized the art from Cloud (Kuraudo), which I really like, so I decided to read it since I really like his other story and artwork.

A one-trick pony with uncanny performance, albeit doesn't quite achieve that wow moment. The outre' presentation is simply sidelined by an unremarkable plot carried out by vapid characters. There is little enjoyment to be drawn from it since it appears to be flummoxed about what it wants to be, while at the same time encapsulated into an impassionate and cold surface whose cracks offer hardly any surprises.

Examples of a simple story spiced up by a crafty execution are out there, but this one does not meet the criteria. That is unless the attempt itself makes it worthwhile in someone's book.
