Inventory sale!

Over the last few years, I have taught a lot of bookbinding classes. Every time I teach a class, I make samples of the books beforehand and then make them again during the workshop. As such, I have accumulated a pile of books that are starting to create a storage problem. And I really need only one or two samples of any particular binding.

So -- I have just listed 25 books in my etsy shop. They are all at least half price, and I'm offering FREE shipping to Canada and USA. If you ever wanted a nice handmade book, here's your chance! Or if you are one of my bookbinding or marbling friends and you think you might like to trade something, I am totally up for that!

Follow this link to see all the books on sale: https://tinyurl.com/25handmadebooks.

Free Shipping and more prizes to win

Apparently this is the big weekend to have a sale, so my Etsy shop is offering Free Shipping to all Canada and USA locations. All other countries can get half price shipping. So, Free Shipping at MyHandboundBooks until Monday night (Nov 30th)! On top of the free shipping, and on top of the 12 Days of Christmas promo that I mentioned in my last post, there is yet one more fun thing happening. The Bookbinding Etsy Street Team presents the...
BEST Holiday Book Event!
You can get all the details at www.bookbindingteam.com. Basically, by shopping in any of the participating Etsy stores, you get your name into a draw for prizes (shown below). Books made by our team members and a couple of gift certificates are up for grabs! So if you still have some shopping to do, get at it! Best to get the online shopping done as soon as possible so you aren't victimized by the postal system too. (I think this is the end of my own holiday promotions, I promise I'll get back to some more interesting bookbinding-related stuff soon!!)

Happy Canada Day

July 1st is Canada Day! Canada is 142 years old, so have a drink for Canada. And... is there any better way to celebrate a country and its heritage and its achievements, then by having a sale? A sale especially for Canadians? Great idea!

I'm offering 1 cent shipping to all locations in Canada from MyHandboundBooks and MyMarbledPapers. So, just 1 penny for shipping until midnight July 1st (or whenever I get home from the fireworks and celebration, whichever is later)!

Origami Hearts and a Valentine's Day Sale

Happy Valentine's Day! I found some online instructions for Origami hearts and made a few with some of my pink Suminagashi papers. The Origami Club has several Valentine projects including these winged hearts shown here as well as some little gift boxes and heart-shaped pockets and ornaments. I also found this video showing how to fold a double heart shape that is cute. Lots of last minute Valentine cards and gift box ideas if you need them!

And - the red and pink books in my Etsy shop are 25% off today only, just for Valentine's Day.

A Pink Sale

Maybe it isn't the most festive promotion, but I am having a little PINK sale in my Etsy shop, nonetheless. So if you like pink ink you should get a Yink, I think...er, I mean, if you like pink books, you could get one at a 30% discount. I'll continue the sale until the end of December, or until I have no pink things left!

I realize my Etsy shop is suffering a bit, showing symptoms of near starvation, in fact. But I am working on some new items and will be infusing new life therein very soon.
