How we got here

Timeline

From five automotive engineers to a products company, newest first, tracing the path from services into hardware we own.

  1. Public launch. Automotive BMS prototype approaching market. This is where we are now.

  2. First manufactured units. First customers. BMS 1500V deployed in industrial energy storage. EMS Cloud and Gateway in production.

  3. Three parallel development tracks. BMS hardware and firmware, EMS Gateway, EMS Cloud platform. Built from scratch by the same team that shipped automotive-grade software.

  4. Nokto Electronics founded. The European automotive industry decline accelerates a pivot. We decide to build products we own, not services we deliver into a shrinking market.

  5. Team grows to 20+ engineers with a network of 300+ specialists. Primarily serving automotive OEM supply chains across Europe.

  6. Nokto founded. Five embedded engineers, focused on automotive software. AUTOSAR, functional safety, cybersecurity.

What we do

Products and services.

Two tracks, one team

We build products we own and offer engineering services built on the same technical foundation. Both are available independently or together.

Products

Full-stack energy management

Our BMS 1500V manages battery strings to 1500 V DC. The EMS Gateway runs the plant locally and bridges field hardware to the cloud. EMS Cloud provides portfolio-level monitoring and operation profile management. Engineering support is included with every product.

Engineering Services

Automotive

AUTOSAR, ISO 26262, ISO 21434, and e-powertrain development. Available for OEMs and tier-1 suppliers who need embedded expertise on existing programs.

Engineering Services

Industrial & Energy

Custom BMS development, EMS integration and commissioning, and protocol bring-up. Built on the same engineering foundation as our products.

What matters

Our values

Transparency

We communicate capability scope, roadmap status, and pricing plainly. What is shipping, what is in development, and what is on the roadmap are kept clearly separate.

Integrity

The team that specifies a delivery is the team that executes it. No undisclosed subcontracting, no specification inflation.

Direct Access

Buyers of technical products deserve direct access to the engineers who built them. Support routed through a generalist layer loses precision and time. We do not operate that way.

Depth

Engineering discipline does not change with the application domain. The same rigor applied to safety-critical automotive software governs how we approach every product we build.

Partnership

A supplier relationship that ends at delivery serves neither side well. We build products and take on services work with the expectation of long-term technical involvement, not a handoff.

Longevity

Energy storage installations operate for 10 to 20 years. Our product architecture, update model, and support agreements are designed around that timeframe, not the sales cycle.

Why Nokto

What are our superpowers?

From cell-level firmware to cloud-level monitoring, the full stack is designed, built, and supported in-house.

01

Full-Stack Ownership

The BMS firmware, EMS Gateway runtime, and EMS Cloud platform were built by the same team. There are no integration gaps between subsystems and no vendor boundary to escalate across when something needs to change.

Engineering advantage
02

Built in Europe

Our hardware is designed and assembled in Europe. Engineering, support, and production operate in the same timezone as most of our customers. No cross-continental supply chain exposure, and European data residency by default.

Engineering advantage
03

Open Toolchain

Our development stack is built on open-source software. We contribute back to the tools we depend on. For OEM buyers, this means no hidden licensing costs in derivative products and a fully auditable design toolchain.

Engineering advantage
04

Managed in Production

Software and OS updates are handled by our engineers, staged through internal test infrastructure before reaching field devices. Operators do not need embedded Linux expertise on their team to keep the stack current and secure.
