I’m not well-versed in Pokemon terminology when it comes to cards, so does anyone know if there’s a name for this type of pokemon art/style of card? Is there more of it? I vaguely remember seeing cards like this when I was a kid but I may be misremembering! (Kind of realistic? Odd but cool mix of art styles, etc)

one thing about being an Old Book Enjoyer is that it’s SO hard to make your bookshelves look ✨aesthetic.✨

I look at all these pretty, perfectly curated, same-height, sprayed-edges collections and I’m like. excellent. something new to be self-conscious about. now my BOOKS are too ugly.

like. here. this is a book from 1977 I bought because it had a wizard on the front. here is one of my seven copies of The Fellowship of the Ring. another book I bought for the wizard on the front. here’s a sci fi book that no one else has ever heard of but shaped me fundamentally as a person when I was twelve. on this shelf we have my Stephen King collection. what? oh, no, none of those books are the same size. yes every single book I own has a cracked spine and yellowed pages, they sat in a secondhand shop longer than this year’s graduating class has been alive. yes I DO have some new books but they’re all from ebay and kind of look like they were run over. yes every single book is vaguely tattered and faded.
