size: 18x12in Art Print: Burgundy Day Lily by Cheri Blum : Cheri Blum’s (1969-2003) brief but prolific career resulted in over 400 paintings. Best known for using cracked linen as her canvas, she painted floral motifs reminiscent of weather-worn Italian frescoes. After college, Blum began her career as an illustrator and muralist, creating trompe l’oeil, faux painting and decorative furniture finishes, achieving her vision of getting fine art outside of museums and into people’s everyday lives.

Flower Friday! Lilies this week, starting with my own “Forever Susan” Asiatic Lily, then some of the gorgeous blooms seen by Fen and I on our walks this week, and finally a little friend we made this week - not a flower but he stayed as still as one and let us get quite close while I took pics!
