Manuka plant

🌿 The Mānuka bush is a common native New Zealand tree and a key ingredient with a long history of use in traditional Māori medicine, Rongoā. Mānuka is most famous for the unique honey produced from its nectar which is renowned for its antibacterial and health properties. We think Mānuka is marvelous!

Leptospermum, commonly known as manuka is popular for its colourful flowers throughout winter and spring. This hardy plant has been bred for its ornamental value in home gardens with flowers in pink, white or red, against contrasting bronze foliage. Great for coastal or windy sites, native borders and can also be grown in containers. Great for attracting bees to the garden and is one of the main sources of nectar for Manuka honey.

'Leptospermum scoparium' commonly known as Mānuka bush, is a prolific scrub-type tree found throughout New Zealand. It is a hardy tree that can grow in any of New Zealand's microclimates and grows throughout the country, from the coast to the mountains, and tolerates wet or dry soils. It is extremely adaptable and hardy, and can flower and seed when just a few centimetres tall. Isn't it beautiful?
