After 3 and a half attempts I finally got them functional and safe - no pokey wires exposed!! I should probably take a cabinet making course. I do a ton of trial and error around here and let me tell you.. there’s a lot of error. But the crates are done and I think they look great, and the dogs approve! Here are our 5 most practical and recommended dog features if you’re building!

1. Pull out dog food storage. Ours is in the laundry room which works perfectly for us!

2. Low windows and doors. It’s their home too! They should be able to see outside and watch the neighbor dogs go by! (Pro tip: this will also save your furniture!)

3. Built in pocket gates. I don’t know about you, but I HATE traditional baby gates and didn’t want them anywhere near my new home. We had these designed and made custom. They slide into the wall when not in use, and match our aesthetic when out!
