Ice Spikes created for the game Upheaval within the ice level. Mechanics wise the ice spikes start to glow as player gets near them, get to close and they emit a larger glow that knock players back usually ending in player falling off he platforms. Rock spike model is a side project, same low poly model as the ice spikes with different normal maps to create depth and texture, giving the effect of rock texture. Ice Spike / Rock Spike: 800 tris

Here's some screenshots of the advection ice and ice spears used in a level from Gears 5. I was responsible for some of the ice spears as seen in my other post, and was also responsible for maintaining the shader of the icicles wrapped around the trees towards the end of production, making a few changes and additions.
