A protagonist that is chosen. For what? Well, the protagonist, reader, and author have no idea. Luckily, the author has plenty of time to figure it out since there are going to be at least five books in the series! (yay…) For now, the author will just make sure that all the characters around the protagonist make vague references to how special and important the protagonist is as the chosen one. "We were lovers in a past life" trope but the current incarnations are enemy-to-lovers trope. when. To be clear. I don't want "our past love ended in betrayal and anger and now we hate each other" but the current incarnations do NOT remember and they ARE trying their best to End the other one and these new sudden flashbacks to lovingly holding each other's hands is EXTREMELY UPSETTING
