It's my first proper fixed gear bike, built for crit racing and general fixed training. It's a rare, authentic Peugeot track bike from most probably 84 or 85.

I bought this bike in May 2013 from a man named Bob in Patchogue, Long Island. It still had all of its stock components and was hardly ridden for 28 years. The frame was nearly pristine except for some minor cosmetic damage (chipped clear coat/paint and crazing) from long-term garaging. I initially felt obligated to preserve all of the original components but since they were never of any particular significance, they were gradually swapped out with (relatively) modern components.
