Claire Lopez on Instagram: "What you need to know about horizontal lines ✔️ Wherever you put a horizontal line on the body that is where the eye is drawn to. ✔️This means you need your pay attention to where your clothes start and finish and use this to your advantage. ✔️ So avoid placing a horizontal line at your widest part. Dress head to toe in the same colour - add interest with a contrast accessory Or Go tonal with various shades of the same colour - accessories can be tonal or contrast/statement. 2. Stick your a limited colour palette to create a cohesive look. I generally stick to a couple of colours but no more than 3. This works just as well with neutrals as it does with colour. Use your accessories to draw together colours in your outfit - scarves are ideal for this. 3. Apply the sandwich rule where there is the same colour top snd bottom with something different in the middle. Ie footwear matching your top/knit/jacket.
