Brittany | 4TH GRADE TEACHER on Instagram: "Scratch paper lottery! 📝 One of the greatest tricks I ever learned from the Instagram teacher community. This is the perfect time of year to try it out! Students write their name on their scratch paper and work out each problem. After they submit their test, they ball it up and throw it in the bucket. After everyone is finished I draw one, two, or three lucky pieces to win a small prize. They only win if their name is on it and they’ve shown a LOT of work. This gets them motivated and excited every year! For end of the year testing, when I can’t look at their paper, and it has to be turned in, they get a sticky note instead. We use the honesty policy for that test. They are so used to it by then and they know the deal!
