It's the first day of the annual Boodles May Festival, billed as the 'pinnacle of Chester's social calendar', and attendees were determined to put their best foot forward.

Arriving at the Roodee on a dreary afternoon, a gaggle of women donned glittering mini dresses and plunging necklines more befitting of a night on the town.
