I love silkscreens, they’re so much fun to use and I love how they can leave such a beautiful crisp image. I wanted to make this video to show a bit more of how silkscreens fit into my high fire process and using slip to leave a pattern on the foot of functional wear. These pieces are porcelain and will be glazed with some cobalt geometric patterns and clear glaze. I use screens in so many parts of my work but in particular my functional ware.
