After showing my latest baby quilt top, some of you asked how to make the disappearing four patch blocks. So I decided to create a little tutorial. My version uses 5" squares, so it works great with charm packs! Select 2 print 5" squares and 2 background 5" squares and piece into

Do you have a "go to" quilt pattern that you seem to make over and over again? Or am I the only one who does this? There is something so soothing and comforting for me in making Disappearing Four Patch quilts. I think the pattern makes a great baby quilt, it's so easy to put together and it highlights the fabrics. Here is my latest edition. (And another pile cleared from my Hidey Hole!) I had a charm pack of the color fabrics and purchased yardage for the white blocks and the border. To…
A new quilt has begun and is up on the design wall. Four blocks done and so far so good. A collection of reds and whites are going to be used for a unified scrappy look. We used Fossil Fern Quilting Squares and Cotton Supreme Optical White (but there are lots of charm square options out there!). See the photo tutorial below of how me made our quilt! The blocks are sewn together…

Pull out 9 squares that make a variety in both color and dark/light. Sew into a 9 patch, 3 across by 3 down. Now cut this whole…
