Electric Lady Studios in New York City was founded by Jimi Hendrix in 1970 and has been used by a number of influential artists over the years, including Stevie Wonder, David Bowie, and The Rolling Stones. Because of its state-of-the-art 36-track recording capability, it attracted many top rock and punk groups through the years. Jimi would only work on 1 song there before he died a few weeks later.
