Using a simple styrofoam mannequin head from @hobbylobby , I simply cut out a “planter” spot in top of the head, covered entire form with air dry clay, molding it and forming hair, ears and more to form and when dry, applied dark antiquing wax and gray chalk paint to give a concrete appearance. Such a fun project and I now have a unique, one of a kind bust planter of my own to style in our home. Adding a little moss and a sweet birds nest to top was a fun little addition and I can easily change it out throughout the year with faux succulents, plants or floral stems.
