I had four gorgeous, dark brown pine cones that were ALL blurry, so I opted to show you the clearest video I had rather than the prettiest… By the time I was able to get a good video, I was almost out of brown and had to dilute what was left with white bc… Enter pale but otherwise fabulous pinecone👏👏👏 But hey, now you know how to pipe one!! Look how easy this version is too! 🥳 I highly recommend sticking with a small petal tip like 101 or 102 for these btw. You can go larger, but stability gets a little trickier. If you struggle with stability even with a small tip, your consistency may be too thin. 🤎 pipe a tapering mound of buttercream on your cupcake about an inch tall

🤎 pipe main body with tip 102. Try to stagger each layer the best you can, but don’t get too hung up on it. Sometimes you’ll have too big of a space if you stagger, so just do the best you can.

🤎 keep piping until you’ve covered the entire mound

🤎 add pine needle embellishments around the base of the pinecone with tip 13

I use American buttercream here, but any buttercream will work.

I like to pipe these with the mini cupcake on a regular flower nail for best results. Simply pipe a generous dollop of buttercream on your flower nail and gently press your cupcake down on top.
