What a neat fruit-of-the-spirit tree: a mature, deeply rooted tree; the kind of tree that takes a long time to develop, and whose growth in Christ may even have been impeded by life for many years. But when God decides to nurture such a tree, the roots grow more deeply, scriptures say, even while the tree is still young and the fruit are small.

Oh. Also. My son wasn’t cursing. He doesn’t do that. It was more like uttering dire predictions of what he was going to do to the tree if it wouldn’t cooperate. I think that little story of the Fir Tree and the hatchet may have been mentioned. Also, possibly a bonfire. There were threats of tree violence. I’m thankful that no trees were harmed in the course of the repairs. 😁
