We wanted an organic asymmetrical floor length mirror, so we started with self sticking pipe insulation foam to make the frame thicker and larger. We then used Foam Clay to shape it giving it an asymmetrical look. Next we wrapped it all in plaster cast material by dipping it in water first. We finished the texture by mixing plaster of Paris with gypsum cement and water to make a watery paste, then brushed it on with a large paintbrush (add more water if it starts to thicken). Last, we did some light sanding with sand paper to smooth any rough places! 🙌 we love how it turned out!
