a white and blue vase sitting on top of a table

I can’t help but photograph feet, pots feet. The bottoms of handmade pots fascinate me and here’s the particularly tall foot-ring of recently thrown and fired bowl, made with clay that contained a few bronze filings, hence the blood-red blots that cover these. These turquoise matcha bowls are almost always the first to go, and I think it’s because of the unpredictable glaze—each one turns out completely unique. I’m thinking of doing a matcha bowl only shop update for early November and would love your input! What colors or designs would you like to see in the next batch? Let me know in the comments below so that I can keep you in mind while making them. ⬇️ #MatchaBowls #CeramicArt #HandmadeCeramics #TurquoiseGlaze #PotteryLove #UniqueDesigns #A...

three green bowls stacked on top of each other in front of a white wall and floor

These were just a test, so I only have four at the moment, but I’ll definitely be making more. Fingers crossed the glaze gods work their magic again! This is the beauty of handmade ceramics and own -made glazes. 😏 so what do you think ? GREEN OR BLUE??? 💙💚 I’ll as them to the shop this Saturday for anybody interested in purchasing them - 📩 Don’t forget to sign up…

The last time you saw these bowls they’d only been fired once. Here though, they’ve been fired twice, the metals now molten and dripping down the walls of the pot. The red is bronze. Filings mixed into the stoneware, thrown and trimmed and fired, with lots of precautions as I didn’t want the metal, which has a relatively low melting point, to ruin my kiln shelves. To protect them I base a series of small trays to fire these in. Where the bronze breaks the surface, it forms these small…
