Select a tiny triangle of hair ( the more you take it small the more your braid will start at the front ) 3. Divide into 3 equal pieces 4. Cross left strand under the middle one 5. Cross right strand under the middle one 6. Add a new tiny piece of hair each time before crossing 7. Keep everything tight enough 8. On the sides, always use 2 fingers to add new hair, slide all the way up on your scalp so that you always add the same thickness of hair. This way your braid will be even, tight & secure ! 9. Fix the elastic as close to the head as you can 10. Pull apart the braids for more volume ! Focus on one side at a time. Take a two inch section and split it into two. Cross the front piece over the back piece and grab it with your other hand. The back piece now becomes the front. Style 1 – back braided bun
Here we are creating a chunky pull through braid up the back of the head and finishing with a piled bun on top to show off the back detail. Being sure to take even partings to ensure a balanced final style.

Now onto style 2 – Knotted updo
Beginning at the top we are taking each pony and creating a knot shape before securing with pins. I personally like to leave a small amount of the ends out of each knot to add softness to the style. Finger teasing these pieces will make them blend for a seamless finish.
