ONE STAMP project

So at we come to the end of another 24 hours with One stamp image you will have noticed I am passionate about how  versatile a stamp is as a way to transfer a design. This is not the end it is hopefully a beginning of another journey and you will have been inspired to do more with your stamps.

I have already been talking with the senior team about the next one stamp event, which stamp to chose and when to put aside the time to do this.
Make sure you join the Facebook group to stay in touch because with out you joining in this project would not be the same.
Join the group HERE. There is lots more inspiration over there from lots of lovely people.

A big thank you and well done to everyone who joined in.
A huge thank you to my design team whose efforts have been great.
A special Thank you to Elaine Kettle who keeps me on track with what I have to do when I just want to make things with the stamp.

If you have posted on your own blog please leave a link to your blog on the Facebook group.
Thank you for your comments. Every comment over the two days will go into a draw to win an Ink Pad storage unit and some ink pads.
Thank you for all your comments. I will draw the winner on Tuesday after I have recovered and you have had time to check out all the posts.
I will leave you with a few last images from the weekend.

Dream a little Dream!

Elaine here with an inky project using a Bisque Plaque for the ONE STAMP challenge - I've used the Medium Walesby Heart teamed with the Heart Palette stamp.

I thought I'd see how well the Inks in a Bottle perform on the Bisque surface. The base layer is a mix of Citrus Yellow, Citrus Orange and a touch of Glorious Gold - they dry immediately on the surface so it was easy to just keep adding colour.  The Heart Palette stamp is inked with Pumpkin Orange and the Walesby Heart is stamped with Black.  I've blended more Pumpkin Orange and Golden Yellow Pigment Ink around the edges as a frame.

I'm just short of a drill to make some holes for the ribbon but thought I'd post this now.  Hope you're enjoying all the One Stamp posts this weekend and remember to leave a comment for your chance to win an Ink Pad Storage unit.   Thanks for looking!!

Box Bow

For this project I've used all three of the Walesby Hearts so you can see the difference in size and how well they go together.

I've used Pumpkin Pigment Ink for the stamping and clear embossed them to add a little shine.  The pumpkin is a gorgeous new ink colour - an orangey-red which will be great for Halloween but it's too good to save for that!!

I stamped the large hearts with about 1" between the points, and then smaller gaps for the others and stuck them together with foam pads to give a little height.  Instead of ribbon I've stamped the Checkerboard Border stamp in Pumpkin and wrapped the parcel with that and used a small section in the middle of the bow too.

Sticky fingers! One stamp

Clare here again, well I certainly did get into a mess with this one.  I am very new to working with gesso but hope to get better aquatinted with it very much more in the future.

.
I applied a liberal amount of gesso on onto my card and before I it had time to dry I randomly stamped into it.  To speed things up a bit I dried it off with my heat gun.  Once dry I spritzed with French mint and then smugged some sienna ink pad around the edges.  To finish off I brushed with gold mica powder to highlight the stamped image.
I hope you are all having fun taking part in the one stamp project whether your fingers be sticky, inky or both!

Heart Earrings

Another quick post with a set of Earrings for the ONE STAMP challenge.  I think they'd make a great gift for anyone - bridesmaids maybe.

Here I've used the Medium Walesby Heart stamped with silver Brilliance on black shrink plastic/polyshrink.  I punched holes top and bottom, heated with a heat gun and then added beads and ear wires.

If you've never used shrink plastic before, it's worth buying an oven dish (small and cheap one) to do your shrinking in - it saves chasing the object all over your surface.   Also, if size is important then it's worthwhile creating a ruler to shrink so you know how much shrinkage you get.  I've used white and black shrink plastic making heart charms this week and they do shrink differently.

Hope you've enjoyed my project and thanks for looking.  Keep popping back for more inspiration from the Design Team.

Heart Necklace

Elaine here with another quick project for the ONE STAMP challenge using the Walesby Hearts.

For this piece I've stamped the Large and Small Walesby Hearts on black shrink plastic/polyshrink remembering to punch holes before shrinking with my heat gun.   I've strung them together with jump rings and added beads for a little colour.
I've kept this quite simple but you can obviously add as many beads as you wish and whatever colour.  You could make a bracelet to match.   As the photos shows, the Walesby Hearts lose none of their detail no matter how small they are!!
Thanks for stopping by to look - don't forget to check out all the last few posts for more inspiration.....and there are more posts to follow!!

Don't break my heart! (One stamp project)

Here is a little bit more of inspiration for the One Stamp Challenge.
It is obviously something that you would have to prepare in advance.  Back in the dull dark winter months I had a little play with some air dry clay.  I made tiles, plaques and some pendants.  I hadn't used them all and thought that the heart shape would be ideal to showcase the Walesby Heart stamp.
The Oak House Studio spray inks loved my little clay heart!  Paris pink and pearly silver were spritzed and when dry I stamped on the Walesby heart and embossed with Oak House Studio silver detail embossing powder and finally added some pearly dots and ribbon.

What will you make with yours?

Thank You

Good morning are you ready to start again? Here is my next project.
For this project I decided to see how well Oak House Studio's Pigment Ink pads work on Shrink Plastic.  I've stamped the Large Walesby Heart onto white shrink plastic with Sea Blue Pigment ink and left it to dry a little.

Don't Panic!

It was still slightly wet when I started the shrinking and to be honest the ink still smudged after the heart had been shrunk.

However I decided to blend on more Pigment Ink to colour the background and then I clear embossed it which creates a lovely glossy finish.  So you can create any colour charm to match your projects!

I've added the heart to a tag stamped with a selection of round palette stamps inked with Chocolate and Sea Blue Pigment Ink.  This is mounted onto card sprayed with Totally Turquoise and Jubilee Blue Ink in a Bottle and finished with some seam binding coloured with Sea Blue Pigment Ink.

Thanks for looking and please do come back later in the day for more Walesby Heart posts.
Don't forget leave a comment on any post over the weekend to be in the draw to win a Ink Pad storage unit and some inks from Lynnda. One entry per post but there are lots of posts. And if you missed yesterday go back and check out the post now.

Butterfly fluttery One Stamp Project

Oak House Studio make some beautiful and charming butterfly stamps which I am fortunate to have, but just to show the versatility of the Walesby heart I have created my own fluttering butterfly.

Using clear embossing powder to start, I stamped and heated to make the hearts and carefully cut them all out.  I then spritzed with my favourite two inks Paris pink and pearly silver and added pearly dots.

I glued on the large hearts and then added a little bit of illustration in white pen to create the butterfly body and using silicone added the smaller butterfly wings.

I can't wait to see what everyone makes this weekend.  Although a challenge, it's a whole lot of fun.  I hope you are enjoying your Walesby stamp.

Love the Life

Elaine here with an inky project for the ONE STAMP challenge using an ATC sized piece of Stampbord to create a door hanger.

I've blended Sea Blue, Powder Blue and Midnight Pigment Inks onto the Stampbord and then stamped and clear embossed the Medium Walesby Heart.  I've then sprayed on some Totally Turquoise and Pearly Silver Ink in a Bottle  and left that to dry - I have to say the inks work beautifully on the Stampbord.  It's just edged with the Fir Stamp from the Christmas Collection and the Love the Life sentiment stamp.

I hope you like this project and are inspired to get out your stamps and inks.  Check out the previous posts from this weekend and keep popping back for more.  Leave a comment on any/all of the posts for your chance to win an Ink Pad Organizer and some ink.

A special box

Lisa Here, Let me show you the special box I created for the ONE STAMP project using the Walesby Heart.

I have used the fabulous Ink in a Bottle ink sprays which I am becoming addicted to!!!

I started with a ready made paper mache box and gave it a couple of coats of gesso. I sprayed it with French Lavender and French Wine Ink in a Bottle. I left it to air dry rather than force it to dry as I wanted to keep the large splodge marks that the spray had made. I really loved the coloured splats against the pure white when it was dry.

I stamped the Walesby Heart on to the top front corner of the box and heat embossed it using Oak House Studio gold detailed embossing powder.

I stamped the image on to all the sides of the top of the box but used it as a background stamp so the heart shape was distorted and again embossed it.

I stamped the heart on to white linen card and heat embossed them using the gold powder and punched them out using a scalloped heart punch.
I inked and heat embossed three paper flowers and dyed some ribbon using the metallic gold ink spray from Oak House Studio.

I arranged the ribbon, flowers and punched hearts in the opposite corner and added a metal heart button in the other corner on the top of the box to create the bingo line.

I hope you are all enjoying the weekend,  Lisa

Now where did I put my glass?

More this for your table.
Elaine here with a Walesby Heart project using Shrink Plastic to make some wine glass charms.  You know that moment at a party when you put your glass down then can't remember which is yours - well make some simple charms to avoid any confusion.

Here I've used white shrink plastic/polyshrink and stamped the small Walesby Heart is various colours of Brilliance - this dries on the plastic so your image doesn't smudge.  I've cut them out, punched a hole and then shrunk them with a heat gun.  They're fastened to the glasses with jump rings.

Hope you like the idea and have a go yourself..... maybe make a set of 6 for a gift.  I have more shrink plastic projects with the Walesby Heart so keep popping back for more inspiration.

Evergreen One stamp

Hi it's Clare again with a little bit more one stamp inspiration.

Just a very simple card.  The background inked with forest green and stamped in black around the edge to create a border.  The heart in the middle was stamped and embossed, coloured in with Oak House Studios fabulous inks and then a few areas of the heart coloured with mica powders.

Thank you for taking the time to look at the one stamp project.........what will you make with yours?

Crafty hugs,

Clare x x x

Table Confetti

Elaine here with another project for the One Stamp challenge using the Walesby Heart stamp.

I've used the small Walesby Heart stamped on white vellum and embossed in Silver and Gold Detail Embossing Powder.   Using foam I've blended Powder Blue Pigment Ink on the back of the gold ones and Orchid Pigment Ink on the back of the silver ones.  Whilst Pigment Ink is usually used for embossing (as it stays wetter for longer) it blends really well and dried really quickly one the vellum.

My daughter thought it was a little large for table confetti but I think it looks great.  It was quite quick to do so not too much of a problem for a table. You can emboss on coloured vellum if you like or  you can colour it to match your table scheme.

More Walesby Heart projects to come so please pop back for more inspiration and don't forget to leave a comment for a chance to win an Ink Pad storage unit and some ink pads.

One stamp............are you ready?

Hello stampers, hi-de-hi. It's Clare here.   Well I was doing a little something blue and ended up using the Walesby heart stamp which as some of you may already know is going to be the one stamp challenge that is taking place on July 12th&13th.  The Walesby heart is available in 3 different sizes, in this project I have used  the small and the medium.

For this card I have used

Spode blue ink

I spritzed French mint, Spode blue and pearly silver ink onto my card.  I then faintly stamped the smaller Walesby stamp around the outside in sea blue.  After that I stamped the medium Walesby stamp in the centre with sea blue and embossed with clear embossing powder. I decorated my card using some die cut flourishes, liquid pearls and some turquoise dots.

So go for it, set aside the 12th&13th July and treat yourself to a crafty weekend and take part in the challenge.
You can find out more on the website HERE and join the Facebook group to post your ONE STAMP projects on there.
