Terms of Service
last updated 2026-10-08These terms are an agreement between you and Olenza ("we"). They cover olenza.io, Olenza Node, Olenza Explorer and its API, and your account — together, "the service". By using the service, with or without an account, you accept them. Questions: support@olenza.io.
1. Who can use Olenza
- You must be an adult who can enter into a binding agreement. If you use Olenza for an organisation, you accept these terms on its behalf.
- You may not use Olenza where sanctions or the law that applies to you or to us forbid it.
2. Your account and API keys
- One free account per person or organisation. It can hold several API keys, up to the limit shown on the Keys page.
- Keep your email address working — notices about your account and payments go there.
- You are responsible for what is done with your keys. If a key may be exposed, revoke it on the Keys page; it stops working within about 15 seconds.
- You can download your data or delete your account at any time in Settings.
3. Plans and limits
- Every call counts as one unit; a batch of N calls counts N. Each plan has a request rate, a burst, and daily and monthly units, listed on API Pricing and returned in every response's
X-RateLimit-*andX-Quota-*headers. Days and months are UTC. - Some Explorer API endpoints are only in certain plans or have their own per-second limit; the Docs list them. A call refused for either reason is not charged.
- A call refused because a limit was reached gets HTTP 429 with
Retry-Afterand is not charged. The Docs list which other errors are charged. - The free plan is provided as is and may change (see section 9).
4. Payment and refunds
- Prepaid, no renewals. Plans are priced in US dollars per month and bought for 1, 6 or 12 months at a time on the Billing page; 6 months cost 25% less and 12 months 50% less than paying monthly. Nothing renews by itself, and we never keep a way to charge you again.
- Paying in crypto. You pay in one of the currencies shown on the invoice, to the address and on the network shown. Network fees are yours. Funds sent in another currency, on another network or to another address may be lost, and we cannot promise to recover them.
- Timing. The crypto amount is fixed for 15 minutes. A full payment that arrives within 72 hours still counts. Your plan starts as soon as the payment is confirmed on its blockchain, and we email a receipt.
- Wrong amount. Paying up to 1% too little still counts in full. If you paid more or less than that, email us within 30 days with the invoice id and we will settle it: pay the difference, refund it (less the network fee), or add plan time. Direct payments must be the exact amount shown; other amounts are checked by hand.
- Refunds. Paid time that has started is not refunded, including when you delete your account or we close it for breaking these terms. If we end a paid plan or the service for any other reason, or change a paid plan to your disadvantage, we refund the unused whole days in the currency you paid with, less the network fee. This does not limit any refund right the law gives you.
- Changing plan. Buying the plan you have adds time after your current period. Switching to another plan starts it at once, and your unused time is converted, at what you paid per day, into time on the new plan.
- Taxes due on your side are yours.
5. Acceptable use
You must not:
- get around limits — for example with several free accounts, shared keys, or rotating accounts, keys or IP addresses;
- resell or share access to Olenza Node or the Explorer API as a service without our written agreement. Building your own app or website on top of Olenza is fine;
- attack, scan or overload the service, or get around its security;
- scrape the explorer website in bulk instead of using the API;
- use the service for anything illegal or to harm others.
6. Suspension and closing
- You can stop at any time and delete your account in Settings.
- If you break these terms we may slow, suspend or close a key or account. Where we reasonably can, we warn you first; for security threats or serious abuse we act first and tell you after.
- We may end a plan or the service for any other reason with 30 days' notice by email, and refund unused paid time as in section 4.
- If you think we got it wrong, email support@olenza.io with your account email and the
X-Request-Idof a refused call.
7. Your data
The Privacy page, which is part of these terms, says what we collect and for how long. In short: we keep only what the service needs, never the content of your calls, and we do not sell data.
8. Availability and blockchain data
- We aim for 99.5% availability each month for Olenza Node and the Explorer API. It is a target, not a guarantee, and there are no service credits. Incidents and maintenance are listed at olenza.io/status; maintenance and outages of our hosting providers are listed there but not counted in the availability figure.
- Blockchain data comes from public networks through our own nodes and indexes. It can be delayed, reorganised or wrong. Check anything important against a second source.
- Prices, charts and statistics are information, not financial or investment advice.
- Olenza never holds your funds or private keys. Transactions you broadcast through Olenza are your own and cannot be undone.
9. Changes
- We may change, add or remove features. We email you at least 30 days before a change that reduces a paid plan you hold, and section 4 refunds apply.
- New prices apply only to new invoices; time you have paid for keeps its price.
- Free plan limits may change with at least 7 days' notice, except to stop abuse.
- We email registered users at least 30 days before a material change to these terms. Using the service after it takes effect means you accept it.
10. Liability
- The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows.
- We are not liable for indirect losses, lost profits, trades, data or opportunities, or losses from a blockchain transaction. Our total liability is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and US$50.
- If someone claims against us because you misused the service, you cover our reasonable costs.
- Nothing in these terms limits a liability or a right that the law does not allow to be limited.
11. General
- If you have a dispute with us, email support@olenza.io first; we will try to settle it within 30 days.
- These terms, the Privacy page and the API Pricing page are the whole agreement between us. If part of them cannot be enforced, the rest still applies.
- We are not responsible for failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
- We may transfer this agreement to someone who takes over the service, and will tell you by email.
- Notices to you go to your account email; notices to us go to support@olenza.io.
