Railway Mechanical Engineer

Railway Mechanical Engineer was the name of a railroad engineering journal in the early 20th century, part of a long line of such journals published under various names.

Publication History

Railway Mechanical Engineer began under that name in 1916, succeeding the Railway Age Gazette, Mechanical Edition. (It continued the volume numbering of that publication, so its first volume was 90.) No issue or contribution copyright renewals were found for this serial. (More details) It continued to be published as Railway Mechanical Engineer until 1949, when it became the Railway Mechanical and Electrical Engineer. The present-day successor to this line of magazines is Railway Age.
