Revolutionary Age

Revolutionary Age was the name of a series of American Socialist and Communist periodicals published during the 20th century. This entry describes the first. (The second is also online, and linked at the bottom of this entry.)

Publication History

Revolutionary Age was begun by the Left Wing Section of the Socialist Party, as "A Chronicle and Interpretations of Events in Europe". The first issue was dated November 16, 1918. With volume 2, the periodical absorbed the New York Communist. The first incarnation of the serial ran until August 23, 1919 before ceasing publication and being absorbed by the Communist Party of America's "The Communist". Other periodicals named "Revolutionary Age" were published from 1929 to 1932, and in 1968. The issues below are the full run of the serial's first incarnation.
