Carl Fisk I often get Mercury in Retrograde stuck in my head as a foggy theme of liminal spaces and dreamy headspace but Bed of Nails feels like analog skronk is about to drip straight through the walls into the basement Favorite track: Mercury In Retrograde.

DJ Home Movies As expected from somebody that appeared in the Ghostly Swim series, Patricia brings lax lo-fi house with mild spookiness. Between foggy courtyarder "Mercury In Retrograde", funky minimal "Just Visiting (with Cloudface)", and basement breakdown "Bed Of Nails", the experience is like witnessing an awkward spirit who can only get down with a paper bag over its head in an old manor with cut rugs and peeling wallpaper while strobe lights are going off... Yeah, it's quite an addicting trip. Favorite track: Mercury In Retrograde.

Nic Brown Named after a scale for measuring the perceived innate differences between the sexes, "Bem Inventory" is a study in the sort of sepia-toned, ideational techno that's become an Opal Tapes trademark. Patricia's palette may lack primary colours but the offbeat melodies that percolate through the percussion-heavy half-light make the EP anything but a dour listen and, in the bleeping, twanging "Needs A Nap", he even throws in the techno equivalent of a hoedown. Dark and handsome. Favorite track: Mercury In Retrograde.

mandr8ke I love the heavy percussion of playful chords of Hadar Zone. I wouldn't recommend listening to it while driving, though. The spell is too strong. Favorite track: Hadal Zone.

Goop Jensen We are all terminal, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't devote our societal capabilities towards the construction of sinister engineering monstrosities. // This dark techno pulses with life. Melodies eke out small lives in landscapes of distorted sounds and driving bass rhythms. Favorite track: Hadal Zone.
