BackPunks is what happens when a joke becomes a love letter. It started in 2021 as GoodbyePunks - 100 hand-crafted pixel art figures, each one turning away, looking back over their shoulder.

The founder of Designcollector - a platform that has been tracking creative culture since 2003, has spent the better part of two decades at the intersection of digital art, curation, and community. From Behance Ambassador to SuperRare editorial voice, from Digital Decade exhibitions in Barcelona and London to the early chaos of NFT 2021 summer. BackPunks comes from that place. Not nostalgia, but memory with purpose. The original 100 were a homage. The 10,000 are a movement. BackPunks expands the idea into a full collection built for 2026, where each piece a pixel portrait of a culture that changed how we think about digital ownership, artistic identity, and who gets to build the canon. They're not looking at you. They're showing you where they've been.
