The older I get, the more I find myself going back returning to the archives, mining the material I’ve already created. For years I was explicit that I was the subject of my photographs, the woman standing against the vastness of nature. I still believe there is nothing more mythic than a nude figure in nature, but that belief has changed shape. Now, a work isn’t finished until I can no longer see myself in it. Bodies of Color grew from that desire, to dissolve into the work, to no longer be the obvious central figure. I revisited Nude Pixels, Parts of Her, and Nude Abstracts, searching for what else could be said.
I'd like the viewer to stop and wonder what it is they are looking at and what color consumes them.
