UPDATE:
Operation 100 News has confirmed that Mr. Collins has been located. A person driving in the area of 95th Street and Hardy reported a Honda Civic, with the same license plate, driving slowly on 95th Street. The driver followed the slow moving car until police could catch up. Officers are in contact with him and are working to reunite him with his family. He is currently being evaluated by Johnson County Med-Act, checking to make sure he is OK.Operation 100 News was the ONLY Kansas City area media to report the Silver Alert when it was active. Police say Mr. Collins told his family Friday evening the he was going to visit his wife in the area of 110th Street and Nall Avenue, but never showed up.
Mr. Collins is described as 5ft 6in tall, 140 pounds, with gray hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing black pants and a dark gray, short sleeve, button up shirt.
Collins is believed to be driving a silver 2012 Honda Civic 4-door with Kansas license plate 762CGP.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Mr. Collins is asked to call local police or the Overland Park Police Department at 913-895-6300.
