Do not contact

Your email suppression list, checked before your CRM.

Upload your Do Not Contact list once. The CRM Formatter screens every file against it, removes the matches, and hands the removed rows back in their own file. Matching runs on your data, with no third-party calls.

Included on every paid plan. Matching never costs a credit.

What is a suppression list in email marketing?

A suppression list is the set of contacts you must never email: people who unsubscribed or asked not to be contacted, addresses that hard bounced or marked you as spam, and anyone you leave out on purpose, such as competitors or current customers in a sales campaign. Email platforms check every send against their own copy of it.

The gap is the files that reach your CRM before any send: a bought list, an event export, a spreadsheet from a client. A contact who opted out can come back in one of those and be emailed again. Managing the list means keeping one list that every opt-out source adds to, and checking every new file against it before import. That is what Operelio does, by email, phone, domain or company.

How it works

Two ways to stop the wrong contact.

Screen individual contacts against your uploaded list, or block whole countries. Both run locally, and both hand back what they removed.

Match the contact

Your uploaded list, matched four ways.

Email, phone, company, or website domain, each normalized first so dot tricks, plus tags, and "Ltd" don't slip through.

Normalized before matching, so a company with or without "Ltd", "Inc", or "GmbH" still matches.

Your list never leaves your workspace.

Most tools ship your suppression list off to a third party to do the matching. Operelio doesn't. Matching runs on our own infrastructure, against your workspace data only, so your Do Not Contact list is never handed to a data broker, and it never costs a credit.

Local matching

Screening happens inside your workspace, not on some shared list.

No third-party brokers

Your contacts are never sent out to be checked against anyone else's data.

Never uses credits

Screening your list is included in your plan. It doesn't draw from your verify or job credits.

One list, every tool

Set it once. It guards the way into your CRM.

The CRM Formatter screens against it by default, before anything is pushed. In a trail or a workflow you add the Remove suppressed contacts step, and in the Email Verifier and Bridgeant you switch it on for the run. The CRM Formatter hands removed rows back in a file of their own, so you can prove exactly what was taken out.

Questions

The things people ask first.

What plan do I need?+

The Do Not Contact list is on the Starter, Pro, and Agency plans. It isn't part of the Free plan. Your limit is 5,000 entries on Starter, 25,000 on Pro, and 100,000 on Agency.

What can I match on?+

Email, phone, company or website domain, and company name, each normalized before matching, plus country from a country column or a phone dial code. Personal names aren't matched, since that would remove too much.

How do I build my list?+

Upload a file of contacts to suppress, add entries one at a time, or bring them in from a CRM export. Each entry is one email, phone, company, or domain.

Which tools honor the list?+

The CRM Formatter, trails, the Email Verifier, workflows, and Bridgeant. The CRM Formatter screens every file against it by default. In a trail or a workflow you add a Remove suppressed contacts step and select your list, blocked countries, or both, and a trail holds the file if the check cannot run. In the Email Verifier and Bridgeant you add it to the run: a toggle, or a request.

Where does my suppression list go?+

Nowhere. Matching runs inside your workspace on Operelio's own servers. Your list is never sent to a third party, and it never uses credits.

Do the removed contacts just disappear?+

No. They come back in a separate excluded-contacts file, so you can see exactly which rows were removed and why.

Does this make my outreach compliant?+

It helps you honor do-not-contact requests by keeping flagged contacts out of your files. It isn't legal advice and doesn't replace your own compliance process.

Do not contact

Keep the wrong contacts out of every file.

Upload your list once and it guards every file on its way to your CRM. Comes with Starter and up.
