A is for Angel
During November my online friend Linda and I played along with quite a few crafters worldwide in the 'Month of Holiday Cards Challenge with Beccy of Beccy's Place. Each day we posted cards through the alphabet with a few extras, had races, treasure hunts, lucky numbers and comment winners.
For the next few weeks I'll be sharing the cards I used for those postings with you each day. There won't be the usual level of detail ~ there's just not enough time in December!

Merry Christmas Lilly
During this past month of November, I've been posting my 2025 Christmas cards in a somewhat hidden album and entering them in an annual challenge you may remember from 'Beccy's Place' in Queensland, Australia. Although her digital side of her artwork is no longer available, she has still put together a great month of daily hunts, races, lucky numbers and hidden word challenges to make it fun for all AND great incentive to get at least 30 Christmas cards done!
For the last challenge (day 30) we are to 'Do What You Love' for our card entry. This year I've focused on learning new techniques, trying new things, putting down my Copic markers and picking up a paint brush. Not easy for a crafter 'my age'! Going forward I plan to continue because practice is what allows you to enjoy the craft or form of art and also helps you perfect your style. At the end of the day in 2025, Copic coloring is still my love, what brings me joy, what allows me to give my God glory, for without him I could do nothing.
Recently I was fortunate enough to have one of my cards that I'd entered in a challenge, win first place. The prize was to select one of their beautifully designed digital images.
The digital sponsor was Moondrea Designs and their images made it very hard for me to select just one image. Since I was in the middle of making my 80+ Christmas cards, I thought 'Christmas Lilly' was a great choice and I'm super pleased with her results! I've also decided to use her for my final card in Beccy's Place Christmas Card Challenge. She shows 'what I love to do' when I make cards.
I started by enlarging the image to about 4" x 5" and printing on Neenah 110# cardstock. She's colored in the traditional Christmas colors, shades of reds and greens, using Copic markers. After trimming, I added just a light shade of yellow around the edge to emphasize the glow of the lantern light.
The card base is 5" x 6" with a holly patterned mat and a 1/4" red matte foiled mat added to the completed image. I secured the image slightly off centered to the right, to allow placement of the 'merry' bubble balloon sentiment and the sprig of holly leaves.
This image was beautifully drawn and a pleasure to color. I look forward to purchasing several of their designs and maybe winning another one too! You can check them out here.

Thanksgiving Blessings
Wishing you and your family a Happy Thanksgiving Day.
Sharing one of the fall cards I made this year using Unity Stamps, Autumn Stoop by Jeanie Hays.
The coloring was done using Copic markers, fussy cut and added to the rust colored cardstock. This piece was secured to the vertical leave patterned paper and then attached to the 5"x7" emerald green card base. I added the Blessings sentiment sticker, the mint green enamel dots and then finished the card with the green plaid ribbon and bow which has a tiny copper colored leaf tied in the knot.
My wish for you is to take time to enjoy the day with your family or friends who's family isn't close by. Be grateful for all your many blessings for we are all abundantly blessed.

The Christmas Star
Here we are the Saturday before Thanksgiving.... Christmas music is playing everywhere. most of the towns have their holiday lighting up ready to power it on after the town parades, and we crafters are busy bees making our handmade Christmas cards wondering again this year....why didn't I start earlier???
I'm posting today with the All Dressed Up Design Team as we reshare this month's new images again with more new ideas for your cards. The new images for this month were Gingerbread House, Fairy Snowflake and Baubles & Tinsel. For my design team card, I selected Baubles & Tinsel and here's the Christmas card I made to add to my 2025 stash.
I make a lot of ornaments each year and have mostly handmade ornaments on my tree. You can image how thrilled I was to receive Baubles & Tinsel for my design team image! After sizing her for an A2 card, I used my Copic markers for coloring and then carefully fussy cut around her leaving the tiny white border.
I had several die cut mats on my desk from other Christmas cards projects and thought she fit well on the Gina Marie Frilly Lace Nested Rectangle Die piece that I found. Next I found a 3" x 8" red cardstock strip that I had previously dry embossed using the Spellbinders Vintage Ornaments 3D Embossing Folder. I had used gold pigment ink across the highlights, but it needed a bit more. I added another coat of the ink and let that dry over night.
I could see that if I wanted to use the border and the Frilly Lace piece I needed a larger card base. I selected a 6" white side fold card base and added the deep burgundy mat to the card base front. Luckily I was able to trim the embossed strip so that a full ornament was intact to use on the right side of the card.
As I was shifting the pieces around to find the right layout I could see the white edge that I left around the image was too stark of a contrast against the vintage ivory mat. To correct this, I simply took several of the lighter 'E' Series of Copics and colored the edge. Also after deciding that the tree was going to overlap over the embossed strip I added a layer of foam under that section of the tree to allow it to have the needed 3D effect.
I secured the ivory rectangle mat first leaving about 1/2" border to the right edge. Next I added the embossed strip on the left, positioning it about the same 1/2" from the left card base edge. I then placed the colored image in the center of the card front, ensuring about the same area was left open on each side from the special papers to the edge of the card. I added the single ornament next, near the bottom corner of the rectangular mat. I added the tiny strip sentiment, 'the Christmas Star' to the top of the single ornament with a tiny strip of the same burgundy paper.
I still felt like the gold wasn't light or shiny enough for this card design. I used a gold metallic pen and carefully traced over the embossed design of all the ornaments. I also took Crystal Stickles and drew around the edge of the tree to add a bit of sparkle there and complete the design.
This one took quiet a while to put together but the results far outweighed the time and effort. It's truly a beautiful card and image drawn by Wendy Burns.

Above All Gods
Good morning from the Design Team of Word Art Wednesday blog and our sponsor for the 726-727 edition, Creative Worship Stamps.

For my project card, I selected the 'Adore Him' stamp from Sweet n; Sassy. (Note: If you aren't aware, Creative Worship was formally called Sweet 'n Sassy and were rebranded in 2024.
As you can see I used two of the major pieces from this stamp set and the featured scripture for my card.
I selected two of the stamps from the set, and stamped them separately, then used Copic markers for coloring. I also printed the scripture to fit in the corner of my design.
After coloring I tried several layouts until I found the one that seemed to appeal to me the most. After trimming each piece I cut a liner mat and secured to each image and to the scripture also. I loved finding the navy background paper with the bright gold stars - a perfect match for this layout and scripture.
The card base is a 6" square top fold with the background secured first. Then I started at the top left, securing each piece and slightly overlapping to fit all three in the area of the card front. After all pieces were secured, I still wanted a star. I found the tiny yellow charm star in my stash and added it using a brad to secure this piece to the card and complete my design.

Christmas Stockings
I'm back this afternoon with the All Dressed Up Design Team as the new ADU Blog Challenge opens. For today's posting I have selected 'Christmas Stockings' and made this 6'" square Christmas card in non-traditional colors to add to my 2025 stash.
I layered the image on the dotted Swiss patterned paper and used my Copic markers for coloring after printing. I really enjoyed selecting marker colors and matting that were not the traditional Christmas colors.
For the die cut edges, I used the QuicKutz Nesting Frame 8 set and then secured the pieces on to a deep burgundy card base. I inked the edges on a preprinted sentiment tag and secured to the card front with a heart brad and tucked a burgundy waxed thread loopy bow under the edge.

Naughty or Nice
This morning I am posting with the Classic Design Challenge Design Team as we open the new challenge for November/December. The optional twist for this month's challenge is 'Hug in a Mug' and our sponsor is Dr Digi House of Stamps.
For my project card I've selected their 'Naughty or Nice' Santa image and made this Christmas card for my 2025 stash.
I printed the Santa to fit on a 5 1/2" square card, then used Copic sketch markers for the coloring. Afterwards, fussy cutting was next. One of the nice little tricks after fussy cutting is to always take a juicy black marker or ink pad and ink the white edges away completely around the cut out Santa.
The background was downloaded from Creative Fabrica and sized to 6" square. I added the image to the left, ensuring the naughty / nice list was lined up with the vertical structures around the toys. Then I added the strips of burgundy washi tape at the top and bottom and completed the design with the 'Dear Santa' sticker.

Grill Master
Earlier in this month on the third of November, and 44 years ago,... the child that who me a Mom made his grand arrival weighing 9 pounds 11 ounces. While he didn't fit any of the sizes of a newborn, we were happy and grateful that he was healthy and life was good!
As with all of our adult 'children' it's hard to believe how fast they grow up, have their own kids, do their own thing. Many times we've all wondered about our decisions and then their decisions. It's my belief that all we can do is raise our children knowing the Lord and pray they accept him as their Savior for their personal salvation.
Kevin is a server. He will help anyone in need and always goes out of his way to be sure everyone is taken care off. Somewhere along life's path, he learned to cook. Not just cook, really prepare great meals on the grill. You may not know what he's added to the pot (may not want to know!) but it always turns out great! I decided to honor his birthday this year with a Grill Master card.
I used Colorado Crafts: LL238 Lovely Legs~Chillin' & Grillin Dad stamp image as the focal point. I wanted it to be a larger card, so I stamped the image then scanned and enlarged it and reprinted. I used Copic markers for the coloring and computer generated the sentiments.
For the die cut edges on the image and the olive matting, I used Studio Light, Sweet Stories, Ticket Shaped Dies. The 5 x 6 card base is covered with coordinating plaid cardstock, the mats were secured at a slight tilt. Each piece of the sentiment was matted, trimmed and foam added before securing to the left edge. Lastly the 'Best Wishes' epoxy sticker was added at the top and the Quality 'button' at the bottom to complete the design.
He liked the card and of course what was in it - no matter what the age is the $ works.

Rejoice Evermore
Happy Wednesday! I'm posting with the Word Art Wednesday Design Team ladies as we open Challenge week #724-725. Our sponsor for this challenge is Seth Apter Designs and our featured scripture is from 1 Thessalonians 5:16-17.
For my project card, I selected one of the angels from 'Good News; by May May Made It.
I stamped the angel and used Copic markers for the coloring then fussy cut her out. I added a lot of clear sparkly Wink of Stella to her wings and halo, and set her aside.
For the base I used a navy top fold 4 1/2" x 6" card base. I added a precut white scalloped edge flat card. Using my scalloped edge scissors I hand cut the scripture sentiment to align with the bottom edge of the flat card and secured it.
I also secured the blue lace doily above the sentiment, then added a small gold glitter doily. Then I secured a small piece of foam behind the head and wings of the angel and completely glued her over the edge of the gold and blue doily. For the finishing touch I pretied the gold quilting thread into the loopy bow and tied the gold cross charm in the center. Then I used a heavy weight glue dot and a small amount of glue to the top left of the card to secure the bow and cross and complete my design.

Abracadabra ~ Halloween Family Fun!
What started off as a freebie from Pink & Main ended up in a fun adventure for Friday night date night which happened to be Halloween.
Pink & Main honored a former store owner from New York who's favorite part of crafting was fussing cutting. October 25th was declared National Fussy Cutting Day and a sheet of cupcake images were their freebie.
This was a perfect project for me this week as I'm recovering from ongoing back issues, I was able to print a sheet and color and cut to my heart's content!
After a LOT of Fussy Cutting.... I filled the bags with popcorn, candy corn (i.e. my costume) and Goldfish Pretzels and Multicolored (i.e. my husband's costume)...
We don't have any trick or treaters here where we live, but off we went to 'Shaggin' at the Shrine'.
While our costumes were simple ~ Sweet & Corny, The Lake is Calling... and my daughter and son in law...
I put a spell on you and a mask that had an LED blinding/blinking light.... others went all out.
After the contest parade we walked around and gave out the little bags of treats with the colored tags. Everyone loved them and the time and thought put in each of them.

Focus on What Matters
So many things in our lives happen without warning, rhyme or reason. Sometimes we are able to look back later and understand why and other times, we never can make sense of any part of the event.
Being thrown in the middle of a murder of a family member is definitely an event we didn't see coming. So many twists and turns since that day, all which continue to confuse us more. However one of the best parts has been building a trusting relationship and friendship with another member left behind.
For this new relationship we are grateful. We don't know if it's for a month, a year, or for our lifetime. But we know we've been put together for a reason and a purpose.
My husband has waded through so many pieces of paper, emails, forms, bills ,etc., as he is working through the estate. As you know it's tiring and confusing. It all seems small though when he gets a text for help or advice from this young man. We are always reminded to 'Focus on What Matters'. Life is very short.

Christmas Sparkles
Another double posting day ~ as I'm back this afternoon with another round of sharing this month's new images from All Dressed Up Digital Stamps. I've selected Christmas Sparkles and made this cute little gingerbread man bordered card for my Christmas 2025 stash.
This new image by Wendy Burns was released along with Puppy Post and Pumpkin Hat for this month. Christmas Sprinkles was my favorite!
After sizing her for an A2 card, I printed her and then colored her using Copic markers. I used the Gina Marie Scalloped Stitched Rectangle die for both the edge of the completed image and the edge of the green polka dotted matting too. I used a top fold A2 card base and secured the mat, then tilted the design image to the left corner and secured it. I added four small enameled gingerbread men to each corner for the final touch.
