"The Debian project is considering a general resolution on the use of large language models in the creation of the distribution. There are three alternatives to consider: a total ban on LLM usage, rejecting LLMs ""as far as practical"", or explicitly allowing LLM usage subject to a set of conditions. The discussion period has just begun; the beginning of the voting period does not yet appear to have been set. Those who want to look over the discussion ahead of the inevitable LWN article can find it over here."

If people knew how much a smile can change someone’s day, or how sometimes simply listening without saying a single word can help. Or even just a look, not one of pity, you know? That kind of look that says, “I understand you.” Perhaps, just perhaps, there would be fewer sad people. The world is full of flags, full of ideologies, and all of them are made only for their creators, not for you or for me.
“They filled the skies with flags and raised borders, but there are only two nations: the living and the dead.”
I received an email from The Browser Company, the creators of the legendary Arc, inviting me to test their new browser, Dia. I have to admit, I was pretty excited and deliberately avoided reading anything about the project beforehand.
Anyway, one very relevant thing ruined it for me.
Guess what it was.
Trying to build something new here. It will take a lot of time...
I think I’ve been feeling a little down, which is probably why I haven’t been writing much. I haven’t had a moment of peace, or any time to relax and build the things that bring me joy. But I guess being an adult means dealing with all of it: making mistakes, learning, and carrying on. Sometimes it all feels like too much. So I need to step away for a while.

Maintenance and optimization day on OpenBSD and Debian... sigh, I’m tired just looking at it.
