Igor Sciavolino ascoltatore I really love all first five tracks, not only From Belgrade.
Each of them have very beatiful differences: wide research of sounds and colors; great sense of serenity and transparency, but at the same time great dynamicity; never annoying.
I need to listen the rest of the album as soon as possible. Favorite track: From Belgrade.

about

"Pieces from Places" is a series of 12 tracks compiled by Passepartout Duo in different locations around the world.

One new track will be released each month for one year, starting March 27, 2025.

Since 2015, Passepartout Duo has been traveling without a studio, an apartment, or home base. This itinerant lifestyle has been fueling a unique musical practice that has now spanned more than fifty countries. In each place, they engage with artist communities, build new instruments, and exchange ideas. These “Pieces from Places”, recorded as sonic journals, exemplify Passepartout’s philosophy, building on a core musical language as much as the experiments conjured along the way.

Counting on their original self-built musical tools as trustworthy translators, and approaching occasional unassuming instruments on site, the two musicians weave together off-kilter percussive grooves with ethereal melodic synth motifs that belong to nowhere in particular, but sound intimately familiar.

From Taiwan to Serbia, India to Morocco, you can follow this journey through a monthly release: each piece represents a negotiation between an idea, an experience, and a memory, and contributes to the bigger picture in unique ways, making the experience of traveling a deeply joyful choice of sharing, encountering, and learning.
