• Oakley Hornets look to get back to the State Championship for the first time since 2023 (kmvt.com) — Oakley High’s Hornets football team is gearing up to rebound from two tough losing seasons and chase another state championship appearance. Coach Brennan Jones and a larger senior class say renewed leadership and confidence could return Oakley to November playoff football, starting with their Aug. 28 road opener at Grace.
   

• Oakley Reservoir fish salvage order issued by Idaho Fish and Game (kmvt.com) — If you fish Oakley Reservoir, new rules start today allowing you to keep fish by almost any method as water levels drop and the lake is dewatered. Bag and size limits are lifted through Nov. 1, though you’ll still need a valid Idaho fishing license while Fish and Game plans future restoration.
