Abstract
A transparent plastic mold fig. 1,2 (matrix) that can be pushed into place in a standard ampule fig. 3,4 containing a dental light hardened composite, and in the same way attach to a mixing tip containing a chemically hardened composite. The matrix can then be applied over the cavity that is to be filled and then hardened by light or alternatively harden chemically.
Description
Cervical matrix of directly injectable type
DESCRIPTION
Today dental fillings are made with transparent plastic matrices in different format.
When the hole has been drilled, one place a matrix that looks like a bent transparent piece of plastic, in different sizes, with a small spike which allows you to hold it in place.
The matrix is bent to the side and a light-hardening composite plastic is squirted in, a bit more than is needed. The matrix is pushed into place and any excess leaks out. A curing light shines through the matrix and the filling hardens. Afterward the abundance is polished off and the filling is shaped and polished to resemble the rest of the tooth.
What our new matrix fig. 3,4 does is that it attaches directly to the composite ampule and can be pushed against the cavity so that the plastic can be squirted through the hole in the attachment spike. It can then be hardened by light or alternatively hardened chemically if such a composite is used.
Instead of three steps:
1.Holding the matrix with a tweezer or hemostat.
2. Tip the matrix and squirt in the plastic.
3. Use the curing light to harden alt. let the filling harden chemically. It becomes two steps:
1.The matrix fig. 3,4 is put directly into place and the plastic is injected.
2. The filling is hardened by light alt. chemically.
A matrix made of transparent plastic fig. 1,2 which can be attached to a standard ampule fig. 3,4 containing a composite that is hardened by light or outside a mixing tip to a chemically hardened composite intended for tooth fillings.
The matrix fig. 1,2 makes up a shape that forms the filling approximately as the tooth looked before the cavity appeared.
It should be shaped with a central hole fig. 1,2 and should be able to attach with an internal or external tube shaped piece that connects to the matrix.
This tube should be able to be made fig. 3,4 in different sizes if so is needed for them to fit on most of the composite ampules on the market.
The matrix should be in different sizes to cover the needs of most appearing cavities.
Claims
PATENT CLAIM
A transparent matrix with a hollow tube fig. 1,2 functioning as a feeding hole for light hardened dental composite, that attaches externally or internally to a standard ampule for light hardened composite fig. 3,4 alternatively attaches externally or internally to a mixing tip with chemically hardened composite.
