Christmas at Fab'n'Funky

Good day all,

I'm scheduling this post as always but will make it short as I'm off to bed.
Seems I've caught a bug that's been going round ....and it's the worst time of year...so much to do!
Our granddaughters are in a Christmas dance performance tomorrow night
and I really want to see them.

The new challenge starting today at Fab'n'Funky  is sponsored by
the wonderful Sassy Studios Designs
and the theme selected by our lovely Ginny is Christmas

Quite a CAS card from me today...
I've used a Memory Box die cut, backed with gold paper and left a strip of red
underneath one of the sentiments for interest.
The reindeer is from my stash as well as the red ribbon.

I'm sorry if verification is showing up on my blog. I've been in there and my settings are
set at no but it seems blogger is having issues.....hope it's fixed soon.

Thanks for stopping by today,

Hi everyone,
I hope you're having a good weekend.
It's been a busy one here but I'm in the spirit of the season so all is well.

I've another Christmas card to show you today and no I never tire of making
them.  I am fortunate to be on a team where we made them once a month this
year and that was perfect for me...I got my Christmas fix.
I have still so many images I want to colour....and so little time.

I've used another sweet image today from AuroraWings called Little Shepherd

The sentiments are from a set I purchased from Artfire TLC

Fab'n'Funky Challenge #240 with Kenny K

Good morning all, I hope you're week is going well.

I'm here to tell you about the new challenge starting today at
Fab'n'Funky hosted by our lovely Wends who has chosen the theme
"Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy - Precoloured Images Only"
which means we would like to see
coloured digi's or toppers on your creations.

Our wonderful sponsor this week is KennyK Downloads.com
who have generously supplied us with our coloured digital images.
I've used Xmas Hottie which can be found here.

This is the first snow globe card I've made.
I changed the instructions up a bit but the basic is from
SplitcoastStampers and can be found here.

I don't use it very often but do love the look of acetate on a card.
The snow background was made by stamping an Impression Obsession stamp
called Spatter with versamark then adding Ranger Snowflake embossing tinsel
and heat embossing.
Spellbinder ribbon tag used underneath an
 Inkadinkado Merry Christmas stamped oval.

I'll be back in a few with my second post for today.
Thanks for visiting.

Blue Bird in Winter Card

Hi everyone,
I hope you're enjoying the weekend.

I joined the crowds at the mall today to take advantage of the black friday sales
going on and came home with a few more gifts to put under the tree.
Still such a long way to go though!

I thought I would post a card I made last week using Whimsy Stamps
Cardinal in Winter stamp from the Crissy Armstrong Collection.
So out came the Memento Ink...and my copics.

Now as the name of the stamp implies, this is a cardinal
...but I wanted to make him a bluebird and just love how he turned out.
The expression on his face is so cute..... he is really pleased with himself
..all bundled up for winter.

Finished inside as well.
DP is from LOTV Frosty Christmas pad
MB Pine Needle die
Silver paper and ribbon from my stash
SB Ribbon tag, computer generated sentiment

If time permits I think I'll colour up this cutie again but as a cardinal.

One of my Favourites so far...

Hi everyone,

Yeah...it's Friday already.
Hope you have something fun planned for the weekend.

I'm excited today as this is my first post as a new DT member of the

Happy Holidays

We are sponsored by the fabulous Live & Love Craft

I choose to copic colour an image that might be one of my favourites this year.
She is by Chrishanthi by ppinkydolls and is called Cold Days

When I printed out the digi the lines were very faint
giving it a no-lines affect which I loved.
I felt this cutie needed a little bling so used a patterned silver paper
behind the embossed cutout, done using Spellbinders Radiant Rectangles die.
I then added rhinestone detail on each side of the 5x7 in. card.
The bows were made with my Bow-Easy
I embossed the tag using Stampendous silver embossing powder.

Show us some Metal at TPS

Hi everyone,
I hope your week is going well.
Back Friday shopping has begun for us so I got out early yesterday morning and
managed to pick up a few Christmas gifts at amazing prices
and best of all the crowds were light.
Still a long way to go on my list though!

I have two posts today, the first being this one for

Our lovely team leader Maria would like you to show some Metal on your creations.

I've used a pre-coloured image on my card
The Most Adorable Snowmen
 that can be found here.
These are fabulous for when you don't have time to colour
yourself and they really are beautifully done.
I printed my copy on glossy photo paper and quite like the effect
...adds a bit of shine to the card.   The metal I used is in the form of jingle bells.
These are actually brads that I found last year.

All of the ribbons are from Michaels.  DP is from Papertrey Ink
I'm using the fern die from Marianne Creatables LR0181

As always we have a wonderful prize for the winner this week. I do hope you can play among with us and if you get a chance please stop by the blog to see the wonderful creations made by the DT.

I would like to enter the following challenges:

Different Colours for Christmas

Hi everyone,
I hope you're enjoying your weekend.
I managed to sneak in some crafting time and so enjoyed colouring up this cute image
from Chrishanthi by ppinkydolls called I Love Christmas that can be found here.

I wanted to use up some very old Basic Grey plaid dp that I'd been hoarding.
(I have a thing for plaid paper) so that is how I came up with the colours
...a little different but I know it will match some home decor of friends on my list.

I pulled out some olive coloured vellum, cut some snowflakes and heat embossed
an old circle sentiment from StampinUp with gold embossing powder before cutting it out.
Corrugated paper was also from my stash.

I would like to enter the following challenges:

Fab'n'Funky Challenge #236

Hi everyone,
I hope your week is going well.
We had a few snow flurries on the weekend... way too early for that white stuff but temps have warmed up a bit so we are back to fall.  It's taken me a while to get back in the swing of things after the wedding.  We had our granddaughter stay with us for a week, along with 2 dogs and a bird so our house was full of life and is now so quiet.
Today starts a new challenge at
where the theme is "3 Embellishments"

I've used a cute image generously supplied to us by our lovely sponsor this week
She is called Claudia Loves Christmas  and can be found here

My 3 embellishments are Ribbon, Rhinestones and Die Cuts.

I'm lovin the new MB Christmas dies, especially the Pine Needle used on the top, cut in red & cream. I also layered the new Plush Poinsettia Corner die on top. The Pine Branch is a Marianne die #LR0181.    Ribbon is Offray from Michaels
Another favourite is the Recollections Rhinestone Sheet, also from Michaels.
Image coloured with Copics.
DP and tag are Simple Stories Cozy Christmas

Inside decorated with tag from Simple Stories as well.

I hope you get a chance to play along with us this week.
There is a great prize from our wonderful sponsor for the winner.

I would like to enter the following challenges:

I coloured with Copics one of the newest images called "Holy Night" which can be found here.   I've not seen the movie but my Granddaughter tells me this reminds her of the main character in Frozen.  I used several dies in an effort to create a frosty look.

I used several dies to create the background.
 Corners are Tattered Lace dies.
MB Snowflake Arch, cut twice.
SB Tag, sentiment created in Word.
 Websters Pages silver ribbon.

Christmas again at Fab'n'Funky Challenge #235

Hi everyone,

I'm back after a week in the Bahamas and am still on island mode.
What a fabulous time we had with our
group of 23 wedding guests there for our Son's wedding.
The ceremony was on the beach, the weather was perfect.....cloudy skies but no rain, great for pictures.

I hardly had my bags unpacked when I started into
this week's DT requirements. I think I left my mojo on the beach somewhere
so it's been slow and steady.

I choose to make a CAS card for today's
where the theme is Christmas

We have two wonderful sponsors this week.
and

I choose to use a digital stamp from Dilly Beans #509 Amalia's Christmas Lights which can be found here.

Coloured with Copics, machine stitching around the image and Spellbinders Back to Basics Tag used for the sentiment created in Word.  I used glossy accents on the lights and red rhinestones for the holly, pretty cas but I'm happy with it.

I would like to enter the following challenges:
Holly Jolly Christmas Challenge - Bingo ( Ribbon, rhinestones, die cut)

Thanks for checking in today.  I'll be back shortly with my post for TPS.

Christmas in May at Fab'n'Funky

Good day everyone,

I hope your week is going well and that the sun is shining for you today.

We've a new challenge starting today at
and as this is the last Wednesday of the month that means it's Christmas Time
We'd love to see how organized you are with getting those Christmas makes done early.

We are fortunate to have two wonderful sponsors this week

and

For my card I've used a digital image from Delicious Doodles called
"a Robin's Christmas" that can be found here.

Now this is a Teddy's aka Santa's view of Christmas. I won this lovely decoupage image and had fun putting him together ...no cutting, just punched out the layers...so easy.
I coloured A Robin's Christmas with Copics  then cut a Poppystamps "Grand Madison Window" die to show this beautiful view.  I have to confess...I've had this die for two years and I can't remember ever having used it up until now.  I was looking for the right scene I suppose.  I dry embossed the "wallpaper" layer with a Cuttlebug embossing folder.  Ribbon was from my stash, berries from WOC.

I would like to enter the following challenges:
Christmas Card Challenge #26 - Anything Goes
52 Christmas Card Throwdown - May Stash Challenge
Christmas Cards All Year Round - May Challenge - Santa
Craftyhazelnut's Christmas

Thanks so much for stopping by and I'll be back shortly
with a warm weather creation for TPS...see you soon.

hugs,
