With No baile do djinn vol. 1, Pekodjinn opens a new chapter in his journey: more direct, more club-oriented, more free. While keeping his signature touch and sonic identity (North African samples, twisted vocals), he digs deeper into Brazilian funk and all its offshoots.

More raw, more instinctive, this EP acts as an intuitive manifesto: making people dance without asking for permission. Peko deconstructs rhythms and rebuilds them in his own way, blending a sharp sense of groove with complete freedom of form. Each track is a test, a frontal assault, a bubbling laboratory.

No baile do djinn vol. 1 marks a new step in his evolution: less theoretical, more spontaneous, yet always rooted in a heritage and a sound that is unmistakably his. A hybrid, transcontinental club sound, where sampled voices tell as much as the basslines hit. The dancefloor becomes a field of experimentation.

It’s raw, groovy, and unfiltered. Music crafted for the body, for the soundsystems, for nights that spiral out of control. No grand political statement here — but a form of rebellion through rhythm: seizing the codes, bending them, breaking them, and spitting them back out with an energy that’s entirely his own.
