Today Is Thursday, September, 3 2026: This Is What Happened

Sold my ceramic molds. Although I didn't get the price I wanted. But they'll be out of here. One side of me I feel sad. The fact is that either Murphy and I can handle the big molds. I plan to keep some of my smaller ones. Mainly ornaments.

But the good thing is there gathering dust, and someone else would have a chance to enjoy them.

Right now I'm moving personal items from shelves, and area around it.

Recently I just finish up a photo book, and still need to do anther photo book for my other rugrat. I been using CHATBOOK MONTHLY. I have no issue with this company. But I don't see myself doing anther monthly picture book, in 2027. The issue with it personally. Is finding enough photos. I been pulling up old photos, from a few years back. A lease they'll be part of an archive. Even if my sons will have them. The other one is simple melt down to money. It cost $360, I know there was discount for purchasing for paying it for entire year.

The weather cool down. I'm not quite ready for fall wet weather. Although I'm glad for less heat. I guess one can wish for certain degree of heat, I personally would like it around 75 degrees.

Slowly working though the book I'm reading. The journal 1837 – 1861 Henry David Thoreau. Preface by John R Stilgoe.

Need to get back working in the basement.

Today Is Thursday, August 14, 2026: This Is What Happened

In an odd way, A.I amazes me. Yesterday. I was over at DARK SHADOW FANDOM PAGE. So I decided to copy and paste these lines. She vows to stand by him. Carolyn suggests that Victoria see Matthew Morgan, who's been at Collinwood longer than anybody and probably knows something about Victoria's past.   Roger tells her he has to go into town and that whatever Elizabeth wanted will have to wait.  Not sure what I would of came up with. But an Victorian would be on the bottom of the list. But I do like the picture.

I had plan to post this yesterday. My son Sawyer came up, with his daughters. And we headed to the fair. I feel bad that Murphy can't go. He having mobility issues.

Sawyer was surprised how the fair has expanded. I forgot my camera, and used my smart phone. To take photos. But the owner sometime mess up. I ended up with videos, instead of shots.

Later on Bart and his family will be up today. More or less in the afternoon. I promise Qunella that we would go though the fair this morning. Glad they don't charge for the fair.

I'm debating about changing the date above. I guess I will. Still reading the same book. The Journal 1837-1861 Henry David Thoreau. He sure notice details. Talks about everything. Including shoe laces.

Today Is Wednesday, August 12, 2026: This Is What Happened.

Not sure what sort of post this will be. I'm clueless why I have a craving for raisin. So I got a hand full of them.

Been watering in the gully. There calling for a summer storm to come though. Looks like it won't be here til after midnight. It been quite windy most all in the afternoon. Just hopefully there not much lightening with it.

When watering I sit the timer for 45 minutes. I don't need to forget it. I decided to hook up to WORDLESS WEDNESDAY.

Today Is Sunday, August 9, 2026: This Is What Happened

I never know what subject I should blog about. If more than one thing I need or want to post about. Yesterday, I loaded up a few garbage bags, and ran them over to the transfer station. The bins where pretty much all full. I took my camera, and got a few pictures.

Yes, I'm going to go little bit more on LIZ comment about grab bars or safety bars. I have a grab bar in my shower, and I love it. Great idea. So far neither one of us has slipped in the shower or tub. But in my opinion my balance is better than my husband. But no need to wait for a slip or fall.

At one time the Veteran department or someone from the Veteran administration would come out to a vets home, and get the ball rolling on safety bars. Murphy isn't a Vet. But I'm sure there some organization, not sure which one. Can help us with the safety bar. But I know with our current administration, which I call fourth Reich. That the hill is steeper.

Washed sheets, and towels. Did a little bit in the kitchen area. And been keeping our gully wet down. If a fire came though the odds our that would come up though there. The winds been coming up though out the day. Although not super hard. It quite smoky and the mountain isn't seen.

Been quite pleased on how under the stairs is going. I thought there would been more going into the trash can. At this point very little is heading to the thrift store. Right now I'm basically three boxes, keep, trash, and thrift store. This up coming week I plan to go though two more boxes. I'm linking to SUNDAY IN THE ART ROOM

Today Is Thursday, August 6, 2026: This Is What Happened.

Notice I got the date and or the date of the week mixed up. In yesterday post. Well a lease I didn't get month or the year mixed up.

Murphy had his doctor appointment, they're still trying to make his breathing smoother. It some what constricted. There going to keep him on his SYMBICORT, and his ALBUTEROL. Plus they want him to around of steroids. He goes back to the doctor on the 20th of this month.

I talk to a care manger, to talk to her about a few issues, we need around the home. That would make it easier and safer for Murphy and I to be here. Bath bars is one thing we could use. And railing for our front steps. I'm sure there more we could use or need. But not at this time. First one is the bath bars.

Plus now we qualify for MEDICARE SAVING PROGRAM. It will save us up to around $400 a month. I will see someone who can help us do the bureaucracy. To make sure all my i's are dotted, and my T's is crossed. The date I see her is on the 17th. It could take up to October to get it. But once we apply it will be from that date.

I was going to art journal group over at Greta place. But timing didn't work out. So I got my gel plates. It been a while since I use them. So I just did a few colors, and few marks. To see what happen.

Not sure who kept journals and or diaries when they were younger. I found this site called AMERICAN DIARY PROJECT. I have a few small diaries from the 1800's. But I'm clueless who they belong to. My friend Quenella been keeping track of the weather for over 35 years. She wonder where and who might be interested in her weather record. I know there one in the UNITED KINGDOM.

Here is a list of other counties who has a diary project. But should contact them to see what is acceptable. ….Most of us don't think our daily lives are especially remarkable—but that's exactly what makes diaries so valuable. Future historians often learn the most from ordinary people describing ordinary days.

Whether your journal records family life, travel, gardening, work, world events, or simply your thoughts, it may one day become an important piece of history.

Before donating any diaries, be sure to contact the organization first. Each archive has its own collecting policies and may ask about the dates, subjects, condition, or format of your journals before accepting a donation.

Today Is Sunday, August 2, 2026: This Is What Happened

I thought I would never say. “I'm sick of T.V dinner” Growing up if I had a T.V dinner it was a treat. I think the only brand back then was “hungry man” If I was to guest how often we ate T.V dinner I would say. At the most twice year.

Since it been so hot, and the air condition isn't powerful or big enough to reach the kitchen area. So for dinner we been doing T.V dinner.

Well things changed a bite. There was an cool down period for two day. But they're a major fire in SPOKANE, and we got the smoke from it. Plus the other wildfire around us. The best thing for us would be rain.

So the T.V dinner package I been cutting up. To be able to have it spiral art journal. Which I can do locally. I believe I was quote $3 to have it done. But my issue is. I know I will have to apply gesso to it. But I'm not sure what type I need. Hopefully when I go to art this week. I will be able to talk to, and find out what I need.

Since I don't have any art to share. But I thought I would share how I plan to re purpose the T.V dinner, and other packages. I'm hooking up to SUNDAY IN THE ART ROOM

Let have an conversation from LIZ BLOGS....It's time for the power companies to bury their power lines. Then they wouldn't be worried about them causing a fire during high winds. I hope the winds don't get too high for you. The new homes and such has buried power lines. But the issue to bury the power line is the cost, not to be able to access the power line. And the down time of power. But I do question the cost of wild fires when it comes to power line.

Well all my items came from amazon. Most of it was practical things. Like toilet paper and paper towels. Sure I got some other items.

Still going though the boxes under the stairs. Got a small box of things to take to the thrift store.

I post about Idaho politics and local ones as well. But we do have a beautiful little town, and area. I know this is six year old video, and things have changed. Hope you enjoy the walk around around the town of BONNERS FERRY

Today Is Saturday, August 1, 2026: This Is What Happened.

Thought I would take break, and share my day so far. It be came windy here. A wind storm is coming though. There talk about cutting power for fire prevention. Last I heard there 3 wild fire in my area. They don't need to grow anymore. Our air quality is moderate.

Last time I was at the senior center at the grocery give away. I got 2 pounds of strawberries. So Murphy and I cut them up, and preserved them.

Kept a few back to ear. Plus I like to take two piece of bread put peanut butter on it, and put slice strawberries on peanut butter, and slap the two bread together.

Been once again clearing my table. I swear there a magnet so powerful, that it pulls every thing there. But a lease I'm putting things actual where they need to be.

Got a small pile of creative items.

My friend Quenella is looking at a place in city limited of Bonners Ferry. She lives now up Katka mountain. In cabin with no plumbing or power. She does have alternative energy. But at her age it just to much. She will be 79 at the end of the month. A little later on I will give her a call, and see what happened. This place she seeing today is in the same neck of the woods, that Loiltia lives at.

Now it time to see what comment I will be sharing. The lucky person is. MARY. And from her comment I like to take a step farther....Oh now I understand what you were talking about with the Medicare. I have Medicare too and I get extra help through Medicaid to pay for the premiums, and any co pays and deductibles. See Murphy has an doctor appointment on the 6th, and I will make an appoint to the care management. Department to see what my choices, and if I'm missing anything.

See Medicaid expects to be paid back. They will put attachment on your property for any back medical bills. I want to make sure I don't get sign up for Medicaid. Not saying it will never happen.

Actual Medicaid is very expensive program. The little I learn that Medicaid usually only recovers one percent if that.

Our medical system is awful, and trump isn't going to make it any easier.

Today Is Wednesday, July 29, 2026: This is what Happened.

My water line is complete. I hope a lease for five years or more, they won't be anymore big expensive repairs around the place.

Now I will reply to BRAIN comment. I hope that doesn't mean you're dropping medical care. It's been darn hot here too! . No we're not dropping Medicare. We should be able to qualify for getting help what is taken out of both of our social security check, for our Medicare. So we still will have our Medicare coverage we may not have to pay for it. I need to talk to someone who know more than I know more than I do. There different choices when it comes to QMB PROGRAMS. So our resource limited is under.

It not as hot as it been. But I refuse to use the oven in this heat. But I'm tired of T.V dinner.

I been basically lazy today. Dishes are stacked on the counter.

I was looking for some photo on ancestors, of my friend Lolita. And found four of her dad. But found out that her and I related though her mother side. Not sure exact from who on my side. But we're not closely related. My guess 4th cousin or farther back.

Today Is Friday, July 17, 2026: This Is What Happened

Wildfires is in the area. I know some is northwest of me, and south of me. Not sure of the other direction at this time. Yesterday our area had quite a bit of smoke.

This morning it rain and settle the smoke a bit. But the 2 main fire they didn't make any ground on. Plus it grew. People are displace. Haven't heard about any homes lost yet.

I might as well stick this here. I'm going to build off of IRIS last comment she left on my blog...Seems life is complicated everywhere. As my friend says, "easy, everyone can do"... I think the term easy or hard is in the eye of the beholder. When things go to smooth I start to wonder what will break down next. One could say I have weakness in my faith.

I been taking up some folding chairs out of the basement. One will be haul to the dump boxes, next time we go. The other will be washed off, nothing wrong with them. My guess we will keep them. If not they can be donated to the thrift store. Sure I wish the cleaning under the stairs was going a little quicker. But in whole I'm satisfied.

Went to the senior center for lunch, and got 2 bags of groceries. And 2 hummingbird feeder.

Going to Spokane for my granddaughter Alice birthday. She going to be 8. Murphy asthma is better better, but it still giving him issues. The 6th of August, he has an doctor appointment. I want to ask a doctor about a nebulizer. They sell them on line. But if I can't get a prescription for medicine to put in it. It will be pretty much a waste.

Today Is Thursday, June 10, 2026: This Is What Happened.

I decided to take part in Wordless Wednesday, My granddaughter Maud and Bree was up for a visit. And we built a big bird nest. It look like Big Bird could set in comfortably. CLICK HERE to view other or even to play.

Not much going on today, no rain. Yesterday I pretty much felt like a stiff. But I did mange to get a few things done.

It been slightly breeze most of the day. No big gust. Did load of whites, and mopped the kitchen and dinning room.

The other thing I got my husband flip phone restarted.

HELS, asked me about our senior food box...A senior food box sounds like a great idea. How often is it delivered and what sort of food goes into it? It comes once a month, shortly after the third. But one need to pick it up or arrange someone to pick it up for you. Every month it slight different. But it has a range of food. This month he got some can salmon, and chicken. Then also we got some can carrots, peas, black beans, rice, and some other things. They say the value is about $50. It looks like all fifty states does this is one google “Senior food box program and your state” it should pop up.

Although each month is slight different. This month we got tomato juice, which I like a lot.

Today Is Tuesday, June 9, 2026: This Is What Happened.

Right now I'm washing up some blanket and one shower curtain. It needs to be rehemmed. I'm not sure if I will actual keep it. But the basement cleaning is coming right long. I although I wish it would go faster. But it going.

It been raining off and on all day. Not sure when start I got up an pee around 3 this morning. Look out window and it was raining then. We need to rain.

The Subaru at quarter tank of gas. So it got top off. It cost us $48.50. Plus we had lunch at the senior center.  They had salvaging, end up with three bags of groceries. And we finely got our senior food box. It sure took enough time to get though the bureaucrat red tape. For a family your income needs to be under $2,705. They say the value is about $50 a month. It does HELP

Today Is Friday, June 5, 2026: This Is What Happened

Quite windy outside. But I have the slider open to feel the air move. We didn't even get an inch of rain for the month.

I thought this might be a good time to answer the question of HELS, and her question. What are laundry sheets? There compress sheet with laundry sheet, for your washing machine. I been quite happy with the ones I been using. 120 sheets last me for about six months.

I been working on cutting back my carbon foot print. Using less plastic. I'm think of looking at using bleach sheets. But in honest I don't go though bleach all that much. One of my complaints about the senior food give away is the plastic involved, and carbon foot print. It gets me that they except us as citizen need to watch their carbon foot print. But when I go into a store, there plenty of plastic.

I still want to look up the plumbing effect and laundry sheets soap. I've been happy with my laundry sheets.

Had to get the brake fix on the car. Nothing cheap with owning a car. I live to far out in the country, for public transport. I been trying to mange going into to town. And making the trip less costly. I notice gas came down a little in price here. .20¢ a gallon.

I didn't go to my water color class last Wednesday, because I had gone in earlier and didn't want to make second trip in to town.

Murphy and I went to town, and our first stop was the library. I made an appointment with tech lady, We need to do get my husband phone, up and running again. The 20th or around then. I'm heading to Medford Oregon.

Then we went to the senior center, and we had a Turkey dinner with all the trimming. I like to give the yams high praise. I don't know what they use for spices. I will ask. So dinner will be lighter, as in the amount of food.

We didn't get our food box, but they had quite the crowd. It in the walk in cooler. I will get Monday or Tuesday. But we got three bags of food although. I grab a purple cabbage weigh in at 3.6 pounds or 1,632 grams.

Last time I was at art up at Greta place. We did blind contour drawings. We drew each other with out looking at our paper, and not lifting up our drawing instrument. Afterward we pass our journals for about 1.5 minutes we got to do what every we want to them.

It was quite interesting and fun.

Today Is Saturday, May 30, 2026: This Is What Happened.

Let just blame it on unseen force in the cosmos. Every time I thought of doing an post. Some thing came in way. The last one we had major storm come though, with lot of wind, lightning and thunder. When I was young I thought someone in the sky was rolling potatoes around in sky. As I'm older and I guess wiser. That's what I been told. Well the potatoes would be bruise to know end.

Did an load of wash today, and notice I was pretty much out of laundry sheets. I try to be friendly to our environment. I order 120 sheet back in November, and now I need to reorder them again.

I did mange to see the eye doctor. My cataracts aren't even close for removable. But I do need glasses.

Ms DV left me this comment, a little over the week ago, Very good post, Dora. I agree that if you don't vote you can't complain. I really like the family photo. I also enjoy seeing the photos east and west. Thank you for sharing with FFO and have a wonderful weekend.

Thank you, for the comment on my post. Sadly I don't think there is a solution on getting people to vote. I do think compulsory voting might be to be consider strongly. I took moment to do a google search on COMPULSORY voting. I did have making my great grand mother Dora and her sibling using A.I Here is a LINK to my post of the clowns.

Today Is Friday May 22, 2026: This Is What Happened.

It been some time since I wrote a post of any length. It seems like a blog hop is an great way of doing a blog. BLOG HOP....A blog hop is an online networking event where bloggers in a similar niche write posts on a common theme and link to each other’s sites.

I decided to give FRIENDLY FEEL IN. for some reason I believe I done this before. But it been more than a decade. So here goes.

  1. I would be willing to pay more for CREATIVE SUPPLIES.

  2. I refuse to spend money on PORN AND POLITICS.

  3. My finances since we paid up our rigs insurance for the next six months. is is a bit chaotic.

  4. 4. A fun fact about me is that I can find something positive, even if the day seems like crap.

Please click here to TO READ OR TAKE PART.

I decided to answer to question form past blog post. At this time I'm going to answer a question from, HELS , and her question is Is voting compulsory in local elections? Voting isn't compulsory any place in the United States, to the best of my knowledge. I know people who never register to vote or cast ballot. Most of them claim to be anti- government. Personally I find this being pro- government. The reason they are freely letting people rule there life. What I notice they use government program. And if their government benefits gets cut they wine the loudest. OPIOION TIME...I FIND THOSE WHO VOTE IS MORE ANTI-GOVERMENT THAN THOSE WHO VOTE. THEY'RE LETTING WHO EVERY CONTROL THERE LIFE.

Our county of Boundary county has about 8,500 register voters. And in our we had roughly 3,500 voter show up to cast a ballot. So about 28% showed up.

I don't have any issue of of register to vote, and showing identification. OPIOION TIME.... I WOULDN'T HAVE ANY ISSUE HAVING COMPULSORY VOTING, AND ALSO HAVING VOTING THOUGH OUT JAIL AND PRISON SYSTEM.

I mention about people using the government benefits. We use social security, Medicare, and heating assistant.

I'm a fan of history, of all genres of it. So last night I was looking though my dad Grandmother on his paternal side. Not going into her history much. But I looked up the town she was born VanHornville, New York. I was wondering the history of the name VanHornville. Her two siblings was born in Dowagiac, Michigan.

My Great Grandmother Isadora (Dora) is the one in dark blouse, her sister Jeannie is in light blouse, and her brother Charles in the back.

Not sure which a.i program I turn my great grandmother, and her sibling into clown.

VanHornville... The surname Van Horne is Dutch, meaning "from Hoorn" — referring to the city of Hoorn in North Holland, Netherlands, one of the great Dutch trading cities of the Golden Age. Horn in Dutch refers to a horn-shaped peninsula or cape of land. So Van Hornesville literally means "the town of the man from Hoorn, Netherlands" — a tiny New York hamlet named after a Dutch city across the Atlantic.

Dowagiac Michingan...The name Dowagiac comes from the Potawatomi Indian word Ndowagayuk, meaning "foraging ground," reflective of the area's abundant supply of wild game, fruit, vegetables, grain, and medicinal herbs.

I'm hooking up with FRIDAY FACE

Murphy and I went at lunch at senior center, and we got three bags of groceries. It helps. Did one load of wash, and general cleaning. Worked on my essay about journals. And did some creative journaling. About the youngest Granddaughter birthday party back on the 9th of May.

Today Is Sunday, May 10, 2026: This is What Happened.

I did go to my Granddaughter birthday party yesterday. But I first want to start with RIVER question. Why are there chains on your lawn? Can you rake the lawn before mowing?
I hope three weeks at a time isn't too much for you, the travel time can be tiring too, though I know you are younger than me. I know I couldn't do it, I can manage a few hours with the twins once a week and their mother is still there the whole time too!
It would be nice if your new neighbors can keep an eye on your house and get your mail.

The simple answer was at times I can be stupid. I know one should walk the yard to look for items that could cause damage to the lawn more. We had a chain that braced up a rock. And I don't recall the reason it was removed, and toss in yard. Not taken care of.

We have an riding lawn mower, and I ran over the chain and it was caught up in the deck, where the blades are at. We got the chain out.

Had a great time at Bree party, she got a lot of gifts. And she was one happy girl. Lot of kids there.

My son Sawyer came up from Medford Oregon. And both also my son Bart and his wife was there, with there 2 girls. So glad I had the chance to see my entire family in one spot.

Beef here is so expensive, and the senior center is serving Beef Stew, and with biscuit, and apple crisp. As I'm in town I need to drop of my water bill. Pick up some photos to give to Qunella, and make an appointment with someone to help me with a techie problem I'm having. Other people took photo on phone and send them to me. I like to put get them on google photos.

During last week, I was working on photo book for my sons and there family Christmas gift. I had fun playing around with this photo. The man in the background is Charles Stansell (1864–1938), the 3rd great-uncle of Bart and Sawyer.
The woman in the light-colored blouse is Jeannie Stansell (1861–1941), their 3rd great-aunt.
The woman in the dark blouse is Isadora “Dora” Stansell (1852–1923), their 2nd great-grandmother.

Estimated date: circa 1895–1905.

Wednesday, I need to go to the doctor who did my boob reduction Thursday. This should be my last appointment. My friend Qunella mention about going down to Sandpoint to get a few things. I wonder if she want to take a trip that day.

This last week I did a little art. Not sure if my friendly little monster, had his quotes. And the flowers, in my watercolor class.

Community is not a fix box-it's layered”

We are stitched together by spared space. But we also choose which space we stayed in”

Belonging is fluid identity is relational”

At times that the same person can appear in the same box”

I'm taking part in SUNDAY IN THE ART ROOM.

Today Is Saturday, May 2, 2026: This Is What Happened.

I have hunch this is going to be fairly short post. Yesterday I put photos in for a photo book. I know I mentioned that I did two subscription with CHAT BOOK. This Is the first time having issue to get them printed. I been trying to get it to print since a little bit after dinner. Not sure if the issue is my internet speed.

I'm guessing Tuesday if things don't work out for my photo book. I will go into the library a little earlier. See usually we eat lunch at the senior center on Tuesday.

Not sure why I'm tired today. I even had half cup of coffee in the afternoon. I thought of taking a small nap. But if I nap it throws my sleep off.

I really didn't do all that much. Nothing major. Murphy and I took some trash over to the transfer station. We took 10 bags of garbage. I'm not sure how much trash we make.

Hopefully I'm a little more awake. Gas here is between $4.45 and $4.80 a gallon. I try to keep my travel down.

Well today and once again. I end up randomly pick NICOLE. And her is her comment...
